We should get console crossplay only so me and my friend can play together without being killed every 2 seconds by some xtreme fast pcplayer. they have unfair advantages over console players… please fix this

The crossplay between consoles and pc is making this game a really unbalanced experience (specially for console players) and is also killing the matchmaking system which is a huge part of why this game doesn't live up to its potential.Why don't you make it a three way option?- Crossplay off (should be default)- Console only crossplay- Crossplay on

@Ai-Fluffy Same goes for me and my buddies who are on PS5. We have crossplay off in our settings as we don't want to play vs PC players.This should be a default setting, only people who want to play with friends on a different platform should have to toggle this setting.

@kregora They’ve made it a little better with the aim assist for console players, long range console players get a little advantage cause of the aim assist, close range pc players still have the upper hand because of the mouse… Its more about balancing out the advantages between the platforms at the moment, i hope they’ll get it right at some point.

@DeepSixxxx Currently Crossplay is a necessity. The game has no longer the player numbers to make matchmaking work without Crossplay.

Console players have an unfair disadvantage when facing PC players in crossplay lobbies.This is very annoing and a turn off from Battlefield 2042. I have already a couple of friends who stopped playing from how frustrating this is. Controllers cannot compete with mouse and keyboard. The only solution for console players is to disable crossplay. However, if one does this, its nearly impossible to find a match with only their specific console players. When trying to start a match, it says "waiting for players to join," but the game never starts.To fix this, DICE needs to limit PC players to only controllers, excluding mouse and keyboard. The other solution is to exclude PC players from crossplay with console players. Let only Xbox Series X players and PS5 players duke it out. DICE.... This needs a fix!

There should be an option for console crossplay only.
Considering the issues DICE has had keeping cheaters out of PC it should be a given that you make that issue a non-issue for console players by enabling an option whereby we CAN choose to crossplay with all, none or only console.
In this day and age players are provided choices at every turn I find it strange that a massive development team like DICE haven’t included this.
Some players may not mind but personally after playing WARZONE I’m now totally turned off by PC crossplay.
Cheaters ruin games for people and this game looks like a return to form I’m super excited for this game and I’d hate to see it ruined due to a simple option missing like this.
I know I’m not alone on this. Can we get some info on wether this feature is coming?

@CptDuffy Since crossplay seems to be a work in progress, there is a slim chance that amendments can be made down the line. Until that time, assuming any changes are made of course, it is all or nothing.

Ah it may be at the moment but I’d expect better from DICE. This was already an issue for WARZONE and COD in general and you’d think they’d have been able to read the room on this one.

Apex Legends does crossplay right.
Console vs console crossplay enabled by default
The only way to crossplay with PC is if a console player invites a PC player into the lobby
I'm surprised DICE isn't using the exact same crossplay system, seeing how upper management at DICE report directly to Vince Zampella at Respawn Entertainment now.

@CptDuffy I don't think it will be a debacle but the 'all or nothing' approach may well mean crossplay isn't as popular as they hoped.

I don't think many console players relish the thought of playing against PC for numerous reasons.

@CptDuffy Definitely need console vs console only. Its been proven that console players aren't interested in cross play with PC due to hackers mostly. I think it will happen shortly after launch, but its still surprising to see it not be in at launch.

@CptDuffy I'm all for this, I do not want to play against or with PC players, if I wanted to play with PC players I would get a good PC and be on that platform, but I have a few friends on Xbox I would like to play the game with and it's going to ruin the experience with PC players in the mix along with all the problems PC gaming brings to FPS games with cheats and their tweaking graphic settings for an advantage.

I honestly thought they were smarter than this after seeing how warzone is and other crossplay games with PC.

Nothing is set in stone - Apex has a type of PC opt-out for example so we'll just have to wait and see
