Why MTAR needs a buff ? While M5A3 has bigger damage drop off

How does it make sense for MTAR buff if M5A3 smg mag is 900 rpm which is the same rate of fire as MTAR but only does 22 damage up to 10 meters while MTAR up to 40 meters, unless dice screw up M5 drop...

@IRoss2 M5a3 with smg rounds are pistol rounds...mtar21 uses rifle rounds so.....

what difference does it make. Its not like it has benefits of an smg. It makes no sense to buff MTAR

    why are you mad that a rifle round hits harder than a pistol round?  you don't think it is reasonable that a rifle round takes one less bullet to kill than a pistol round?

    also, i'm not sure if this is up to date but it disagrees with your OP on damage for the M5A3
