On behalf of a large chunk of the co-op bois (I hope), MP just isnt that fun due to every lobby having its fair share of absolute sweats that havent seen the sun since bf4's release, it just isnt that fun and the only way to play this game casually is to play co-op, dont get me wrong, the bots aint easy, on the highest difficulty you will get beamed, but at least they dont drop shot, crouch spam, jump around corners and all of the key landmarks of the sweaty population, all we want is to be able to progress so we have rewards for playing instead of being slammed into a brick wall at the first hurdle.
We just want to play the game :-(
I agree with you.
My friends and I aren't big fans of PvP for various reasons including cheating, trolling, toxicity, childish antics of some randoms, etc. Bots don't do those things. We are more abut games that offer good co-op experiences with solo being a plus for those times we don't log on with others.
Portal was (is) the only reason we considered BF2042 along with the coop in other other modes. I doubt we would ever wander into PvP especially since there is no hardcore offering. Quite frankly, the TTK to is too high in the gameplay I've seen and I don't like the increases run & gun nature. I honestly get headaches from games with a constant, frantic style of gameplay. CoD:MW2019 was like that but to be honest, hardcore was a much better experience as it slowed down the gameplay as people simply couldn't rely on jumping around or run in circles, etc. to avoid being killed.
If BF2042 had a hardcore mode, we would seriously consider playing PvP as well but at this point, the only thing we will buy the game for is the solo and coop elements against bots. With Portal, we can change the settings so people can't jump from ridiculous heights. We can make changes to the damage / TTK, sprint options, gadgets, loadouts, etc.
- 4 years ago@Kean_1111 AGREED. If this game had Hard-core servers then there would be a lot less animosity towards them I think. I never understood DICE's aversion to Hard-core modes recently, even in BF5. A large portion of their player base has wanted Hard-core for a while now. Such a simple implementation, as they could spin up servers quickly.
