Matchmaking is complete garbage!!!Why would I want to play in the same match with a player who is 600(!!!) levels higher than me? Not 6, not even 60, but 600!The match becomes a non-stop instakill-respawn loop, and people just rage quit the game.I DO NOT CARE where pro gamers and people with no life play - give them a server with other out-of-this-worlders and don't let them play with amateur players.This is, of course, if EA cares at all about players actually having fun.Update: This thread is not about XP level differences but actual skill level differences.[Title edited by CM.]

@YLD_fox The lack of team balancing is the reason for imbalanced games and SBMM is not something they will implement in BF.

Why would I want to play against a player with level S690?!!!

@YLD_foxIt would be nice if the game had a "shuffle teams but keep squads together" feature after each round depending on the previous match results, there's no point in shuffling if the match was a really close game.
I don't think matchmaking has any place in Battlefield, but there's things that should be done to ensure teams are balanced within a server.

@EA_AticI was just going to say the same thing especially with those XP boosting lobbies going on but DsciSiv is quite probably the highest legit ranked player in the game. So with that said there will no doubt be a huge skill gap between the 2 of them.

Just bad luck I guess. I’m sure this doesn’t happen every round.

realistically though, rank shows more about persistence than actual skill. i'm around S120ish and i'm not that good i just play a lot (or used to). i'm old, my reflexes suck, my tv is crap. i did get new glasses recently and that helps. amazing what happens when you can actually see your enemy. add those up and you will find someone who gets killed a lot

Rank or Level has ZERO to do with skill and has no "technical" advantage over someone of a lower level. Once you've unlocked everything, it's vanilla...

@YLD_fox I wouldn't pay too much attention to the silly level of a player.
If you get frequently spawn killed by someone you can only opt to report them for harassment/exploiting.
But this can happen with a level 20 account as well as a S600 account.
That this is still an issue is a game issue, not a player issue.

@YLD_fox dscisiv is one of the top rated players in the game. I've played alongside and against him on occasion (a couple times in his squad). The dude is just ridiculously good at the game, and basically full-time streams. Sorry you were on the opposite side of it, but there isn't any SBMM in the game as far as I can tell, so rooms/servers fill up with the players that are queued and boom into a match you go. It goes both ways. Other times you end up on the team in breakthrough and win in around 7 minutes (that was my squad's best time, give or take).

@Prof3ss0r_M1k3 Back several versions of BF, I would agree, however, this game does not apply. It was bad before the patching, but since the last, I am killed within seconds of spawning. Multple times in a day, a vehicle is bearing down on me and runs me over as soon as I spawn. Other times its an armored vehicle with its gun staring at me, or a heli making a strafing run exactly when I spawn. That does not include all the times I am obliterated by infantry standing there and camping the spawn point.
I am at S157 and Im no sluff player, either. But more often than not, I am killed by players making impossible shots and the same players ALWAYS rack up 30-40 kills with 4-5 deaths every single game they are in. Based on the chaotic flow thats this game perpetuates, and the clear problem with the logic dropping you into an instant death scenerio, its not statistically possible. They clearly have an upper hand, in using macros, hardware that simulates commands and cannot be picked up by the anti cheat software, or manipulating the network packets that give them a clear advantage over other players and thier hits register before yours can.

Question: how do you manipulate a network packet to your advantage? I've been in networking for a long time, so I'd like to know how to set that up on mine.
That was mostly a joke. I think what you meant is that they are exploiting the horrid spawn mechanics and because the net code is so bad, they get the added benefit of seeing you before you see them because of lag comp/dsync. I was playing Breakaway and we owned both points on the oil rig. I was up top and got sniped from waaaaaay the hell over at the snowy mountains. Anyway, I respawned and instead of dropping me on the point I clicked that we owned, it dropped me off to the side of the oil rig towards what would be A zones in CQ. Well there is some jerky over at the top of the mountain designed to block the rig from A sniping. I'm dead almost before I can spawn. So like hmmm...ok I'll spawn there again, this time it'll put me someplace on the rig and I can go get this snake. Nope, same spot, same death before I can get spawned. So this time I stay down and spot him continuously hoping someone will see it. I watch 2 others spawn in the same spot and immediately die. So I respawn and yep...same spot same result. So I decide to spawn at C and run 100000 meters around the other side to sneak up behind him and take him out. Meanwhile he racks up 6 more free kills because the spawn mechanics are horrid. So yeah, mostly spawn mechanics and people knowing where the spawn points are and exploiting them. I still want to know how to manipulate network packets to my advantage though 🙂
