Air domination still an issue. Flak physics still do not exist in 2042.
Please consider importing the BF3 AA tank over toall 2042 core game modes and retire the Wildcat until we can see proper flak physics for the 40mm and57mm flak cannons.
Also the AA tank needs its own spawn pool in every match where aircraft are present. Currently the Main Battle Tank and Wildcat share the same spawn pool. This results in obvious extraordinary imbalances for the team that doesn’t have an AA tank considering the fact that current meta is all about air domination 24/7 on every single Conquest match.
@Zhukov211 Flak physics does exist. Flak pod? It does the same thing as Flak. It airbursts near aircraft. And you maybe confusing the Cannons on the Wildcat with being "Flak" cannons.
- ATFGunr4 years agoLegend@S3SSioN_SoL The 60mm flak pods for both the Wildcat and tanks are pretty great, against both aircraft and infantry, I’ve recently changed the mortar to the flak pods. Those rounds offer the flak dynamics like you said. The OP wanting the AA cannons to have flak is realistic, however the concept of them is based on the shells airbursting at a programmed elevation. This throws a cloud of shrapnel ideally in front of a moving target that flies through. If the burst is too low, then you wouldn’t damage the higher moving target. Too high, and your rounds may well penetrate the target and not explode. Airburst flak would tend to less damage to ground vehicles. It’s be great to be able to change from an air burst to a conventional in game, and be able to engage both air and ground targets. If the AA only had flak ammunition, it wouldn’t be useful against ground targets, so in regards to this game, conventional rounds are probably better for their multiuse capabilities. IMO, the flak pods have been underrated in the game, and we’re going to see it more common.
