@SF-TebagginsNo Battlefield is not a competitive game, its a MP sandbox, the developer sais so themselves. There are no ways in the game to view leaderboards or a competitive matchmaking system like CSGO, Siege or even Fortnite where you have Social and Competitive matchmaking. BF relies on third party websites to check your in depth stats. And there are no official Tournaments.
Heck even Fortninte have their own tournaments and still allow crossplay in their Social games. And yes i´ve watched Jacks video, and Stodehs and I still think input based matchmaking should be there. That´s the players choice. Different hardware, ping, screens and all that is allways a problem on PC that will never be an even playing field. I would be happy to get 30-40 FPS in BF2042 and that puts me in an dissadvantage against players with high end PC. That´s why competitive games have tournaments where all players use the same PC setup.
If you are a console player and only want to play against controller users then do that. Halo lets you choose to only play against players with controller if you want, NO one is forcing you to play against mouse and keyboard players. Halo also prevents you from switching between inputs while ingame, you cannot cheat the system by switching mid-game, you have to restart the game to switch inputs.
If I want to play on console with mouse and keyboard I would have no problem going up against PC players, thats to be expected if I want to use a mouse and keyboard in my view, its about player choice. And as mentioned above, how about steering wheels for racing games and joysticks for flying games, is that cheating too?
Racing games are best played with steering wheels, flying games with joysticks and FPS games with mouse and keyboard, its only fair that all plattforms should be able to play games with the best input suited for their games.
- @Tifanofauvo One reason people use a racing wheel in RACING games is to feel more immersed, a m&k on console is going to do nothing for immersion in a FPS game except give an unfair advantage over people using a controller. If anything the controller would be the better option seeing as the new dual sense on PS5 is pretty crazy with it's different vibrations to feel what's going on in a game.
I switched from PC to console and learned how to use a controller - it’s possible.
The first several times I played using a controller, I was frustrated and I remember thinking to myself: “Good grief what a joke this is, you literally have zero control using a controller”.
But then I started looking at the Settings in Battlefield 1.
There are a number of parameters there which you can adjust according to how you like the game to respond to you using your controller.
It takes some experimentation to set it up the way you like it, but it’s not rocket science, anyone can do it.
For the record I was saying prior to purchasing a console that I wouldn’t get one unless there was M&K support.
So I have been in “both camps” here.
- UP_Hawxxeye4 years agoLegend@VOLBANKER_PC I moved from PS3 to PC from BF3 to BF4. The thing that I could not stand not having in the consoles is the chat box and the larger draw distance.
It is about more than aiming. The chat box made the game have a lot more soul to me - @UP_Hawxxeye Ok. For me it was a relief to get rid of the chat. You can have fun with others on the chat, which I always enjoyed myself, however I got tired of all the negativity and abuse that comes with the chat box also.

Good morning,
I wanted to know if Battlefield 2042 Xbox Series X version will support keyboard and mouse.
Thanks in advance.
Greetings to the community, Leonardo.
- ElliotLH4 years agoHero+Hi @Leonardo1091 This hasn't been confirmed so far unfortunately.
That’s really a shame, I played most if not all of the Battlefield games, moved over to Xbox Series S and started playing Call of Duty because its KBM compatible and its such a great game. I really think COD got it right to make it KBM compatible you just have so much more players that prefer to play with KBM rather than with a console. I really hope that they will bring this into the new Battlefield.
