Will Battlefield 2042 be playable with a mouse and keyboard on Box series S

At the end of the day its your choice right, you could play with a console or if you prefer you could play with KBM. To my understanding you cannot cheat on the console, it’s only the PC players that currently have the ability to cheat.

not to mention that there are a number controller mods and add-ons that can be tweaked so that for instance weapon recoil is removed completely. At this moment, there's no way i can afford a PC that can run these new titles its just impossible so I'm stuck playing games with a M&K on my Xbox one. I completely agree that if PC players are going to exploit the Controller and all its add-ons then why is it that K&B should no be available for Console but lets face it, just because someone is using a mouse and keyboard doesnt actually mean they are great at playing the respective game, using a mouse takes some skill as well.

So in my opinion, all the options should be there but it should be up to the gamer how they want to play, cross-play on/off, with/without K&B or even Controller.

@calslondonPlenty have said why they don't want PC into crossplay with console bringing the PC cheaters into the mix to completely ruin the experience for console players that we shouldn't have to deal with, seeing as they're adding the bots with no option to turn them off hopefully means there won't be cross-platform crossplay.

The only platform I would be ok with is PlayStation + Xbox with no PC in the mix at all.

If they add K&M they can make it to where you're only matched against other K&M users as should be. That way there is no advantage because you're not allowed to play with other people using a controller that seems completely fair to me.

I hope not. 

I like playing on a level playing field, against other joypad players, where skill and connection determine the outcome..not input device!

One reason why im really hoping there's an option to turn off crossplay with PC.

if the game should support MnK for 2 reasons:

first, it's crossplay >> new game should be crossplay

the second reason many players use Xim4 and Xim apex, means they use a mouse with aim assist, it's completely unfair,

I would expect mouse and keyboard support on consoles and cross play in a modern game but then again no other battlefield game has had either. Time will tell I guess, I for one can't buy a new PC just to play BF2042 especially with the cost of graphics cards these days. No mouse & keyboard support on PS5 and they lose me as a customer and I'm sure many more.

As for the controller console players who whine about these features cause they don't understand how the system works in modern games. If you can't do two mins of research to understand how a system works and complain about things that won't happen.. I'm glad I wont have to play with you regardless of what way EA goes with in regards to mouse+kb support & crossplay.

@Stuyvezant totally agree with your remarks , the main reason why I bought Xbox Series S was that I didn't want to spend money upgrading my PC. I think at the end of the day its not the end of the world for me , I would spend my money on the gaming houses that does support KBM , like in this case COD. I was and still am a big fan of BF but if they dont support KBM they would basically lose me as a customer. Also a lot of my friends also did not upgrade their PC's they either bought PS5 or Xbox so they would most likely follow the same route.
