Will BF 2042 have any sort of anti-cheat solution?Given that the previous installment in the series (BFV) has absolutely no form of anti-cheat, I'm a bit skeptical about this one. I'm also aware that it is 100% inaccurate given the fact that BFV has hundreds of cheaters, many of whom have been playing for over 500 hours and are approaching level 500 by now. No, I do not mean closet cheaters. These are blatant rage hackers going 100+ kills in the first few minutes of a round with an LMG/MMG or Bolt Action.Here is the poster child of BFV's anti cheat: https://battlefieldtracker.com/bfv/profile/origin/USA_ABCD/overview3000+ rounds ruined and over 900 hours played.I know there are much more pressing matters to the community... such as cosmetics and disabling specialists, but I would really appreciate if someone from EA/DICE would answer my question with some actual evidence.

Pretty sure DICE will be sticking with the same anti-cheat being used for BF1 and BFV, which is EA's in-house anti-cheat system.Personally, I'll be moving to PlayStation or Xbox and disabling crossplay with PC.

The best solution.Im a PC player, in BFV all days chinesse hackers and russian hackers in all the match. EA dont care the legit player. Its a big problem.

You will not get any answer and the thread is going to get closed.They have no idea how to solve the problem other than not talking about it.I would guess we are going to see the same in BF2042.

I fear the worst, which is that they're probably going to stick with the current user-mode anti-cheat that has clearly been defeated by the cheating scene. I also have tracked a long list of cheaters both in BF1 and BF5 of which some seem to have gotten banned after many months (in a few cases even years) of cheating, but many others are still playing, at some point I just didn't bother to check anymore because there's no end to it.In other words, it's going to be another cheat infested mess, so I've decided not to get the new BF. I will only reconsider once I see that they take more appropriate measures to combat cheating.They only right thing to do would be to make their anti-cheat kernel level like Riot's Vanguard anti-cheat, at least they know how to do it properly.Also make Windows 11 a requirement once it's out, so that the secure platform (TPM) has to be enabled which will help greatly in stopping cheats.

Honestly, I don't think they would have any anti-cheat.
Despite so many complaints and anger from the community, these people never actually made a proper attempt to address it.
They create a sticky thread and talk 10% about reporting, 90% about forum rules. So yeah, I think I have lost my hope as well as the support I had for Battlefield..
This game has turned into Call of Duty for me..
All I can hope is that before October, they actually release a video addressing ONLY about anti-cheat. At least, that way we know they are serious and if they need time to implement it, by all means.. but right now, its just that same old report thingy as far as I know..

@N7-Vulcan It's true BFV is riddled with cheaters. And when you look at what's been happening in Apex and TitanFall, this should be a real concern going into launch of BF2042. My only personal solace is that I'm on console which theoretically should be safer from cheating. But then Apex just banned a few thousand cheaters, over 90% were on PS4. So maybe it's not that safe? lol

Found it. They were banned for exploiting a matchmaking bug.
And Dashboarding. Which refers to players who force-close their game to avoid receiving ranked points (RP) penalties upon losing.

@OskooI_007 Yeah so it was specific to ranked. But from what I understand, console cheaters aren't detectable. Basically, there are devices that hook into controllers that spoof the input to the console. It will send the signals necessary to essentially give something like no recoil to the player, but as far as the console knows, it's just seeing normal control stick adjustments. Apparently they are being used in Warzone, and likely Apex Legends if I had to guess. There are a lot of people complaining about no recoil players.
