Will BF42 support Rental community servers in near future?

I have been fan of battlefield series,since battlefield 1942 and Vietnam.

I would like to know if there will be rental servers system like in bf4,in the new bf42?Or will there be the community game system such as BFV?On console btw

That system is not really my favourite.

In BFV as an admin you have to start up your server and actively stay in the game untill it runs full,else you server is not browsable anymore.Many hardcore players like certain game modes and server settings.But to "host" the server 24/7 is a day job.Taking turns day by day by clanmembers is also very timewasting in my opinion.I rather pay for the server to keep it online on monthly base.

I get many messages of hardcore fans why the server is not online,and they cant favourite the server either.(BFV)

In my opinion rental will be the best option for both sides,the moneymakers and the hardcore fans,customers.There could be another option,like a counter or timeline for customized servers.If lots of people enjoy,(favourite)let the server run.If not take it off line automaticly.

Would be great if someone can point me to the awnsers of my questions.

Been googling for a while,cant really find it.

    @boefje76There has not been anything official from EA DICE about rental servers.

    However, Portal will allow some measure of server creation with a good selection of rules, settings, and options.

    Until we know more about Portal and/or rental servers, there is really not much else to offer currently...

    @carsono311 Thank you for your quick responds,i saw the video of the portal and the possible rules settings.I wont expect it will be at launch of the game,certainly hope they will add paid servers.

    I think we'll have to wait and sit it out.
    1 thing is sure,i'm really looking forward to the release date

    @boefje76 Yeah, I am definitely ready to jump in.

    I can only add that your concern is certainly not unique or unknown to EA DICE, but there has simply been nothing officially mentioned. Sorry.

    @boefje76 No, there will be no RSPs. At most, we're getting DICE rentable servers at some point.

    Portal will not have perpetual servers. So no 24/7 servers to start. DICE will pick and choose a few of the best server templates probably to curate for permanent servers. We won't know for a long time probably on that one.

    @Threedog1421 I'm thinking this is accurate, but frankly, I'd be fine with renting from Dice if we could get some sort of permanency out of it.

    Then again that depends entirely on the admin tools we'll get with portal too.

    @Threedog1421Agreed with @Fringerunner that you are probably correct on this, however I am still not declaring it as for sure... EA DICE have burned me in the past.

    I do hope I am wrong, but it is disappointing how seemingly comfortable EA DICE have become at adding features to the game AFTER it is released...

    @carsono311 Yeah, just need to remember this isn't the Dice of our forefathers. I mean, it only took them 1 year to get BF4 into a really playable "good" game. That was after they implemented ptr stuff.

    @Threedog1421 "We've fixed battlelog, we won't have a repeat of the problems we had on BF3 launch".

    Many many launch fails and disconnects later in BF4...

    Sad part is i still kind of miss the simplicity of battlelog since BF1, even if i clearly remember how that browser plugin drove us mad between BF3 and 4. (at least on PC)
