I think the new METRO operations in battlefield mode 2042 would be great. A map of such parameters is missing. Bandar desert was great too.I'm just afraid it will be added to the portal mode. The portal is useless for me.What do you think about the METRO?

@GarfieldTehKat Same here - they're just excellent for those times when you want to switch your brain off. I still live in fear of those bots though.I'd need to double check (speaking of switching brains off) but I think BF4 had Frostbite 3 so destruction should be possible. Some mounted MGs would be nice if they got added and, like you mentioned, it'd be a really good map for Irish and Dozer. Actually Casper should do OK on the outside area or flying the drone through the inside too. I can see why some people think of COD with a map like Locker but I don't see it myself. I also think that, like with Metro 2.0, it'd work alright for Breakthrough as well as Conquest. The biggest issue in my mind, again similar to you, would be how XP would be handled. It'd probably need full progression to encourage people to play.

I'm more of a Metro man but that's because I knew exactly how to take advantage of its flanks - Locker was a great map but it was so much larger and more open, it was easy for the enemy to eventually get around to ruin everything (you just couldn't trust your teammates after BF3 IMO).It's be cool to see it make a triumphant return, but I also don't want to see it become a mere shell of its former self like Call of Duty's Nuketown

No-explosives Metro for me vs Locker, but if even limited explosives are allowed then locker is more enjoyable just due to the bottleneck by the escalators on Metro.Still sticking by ziba towers or scrapyard being better than either for straight infantry fights though. (thought again, no explosives improves it imo).Edit: I also agree with Eliott above, it doesn't feel like CoD, coordinated pushes to break the deadlock on metro is a constant tug of war for those corners and doorways, never had that feeling in CoD.Ziba towers is probably the closest due to the layout, and even that requires a much more methodical approach and shoring things up as a squad, or you just get steamrolled due to there being few places that don't have 3 or 4 entry points.It's more twitchy than regular conquest absolutely, but not like CoD:

Metro was on 'good' in BF3, after that it was just a complete cluster and not in a good way.

Not at all tbh. I don't really understand why people want another metro so badly. There are and were so many better maps. I'd take Pearl Market or Locker any day. But if I truly wanted something, it would be a new map like these maps. Not just a copy and paste.

i just want a meat grinder map with grenade spam so it is stupid easy to T1 irish and paik.

People calling for Metro is just a symptom of the vehicle/infantry balance in the game(not just this). Yes Battlefield has always been about the all out warfare but if you were on a bad run of getting crushed by tanks and helis there were maps and modes to get a rest from it, we don't currently have this and that is poor Tbh.

Yeah it must have been hellish trying to manoeuvre your helicopter down in the underground. 🙂

Yeah I enjoyed Locker too, I thought they captured the prison atmosphere pretty well didn't they.

No, both Metro and Operation Locker were terrible cancer maps to take some attention of low life COD baby gamers. We don't need content like that in battlefield 2042 or any upcoming BF series. Sorry that my opinion
