2 Different Accounts cannot play on same Internet line?

My brother purchased the game on Xbox and plays on Xbox. I purchased the game on Origin and play via PC. We are connected to the internet via the same high speed modem/router.  However when both of ...

@EA_Leeuw To my knowledge this is the case. My Origin account shows that my Xbox is linked.

@wardogs158, ah alright. Yeah in that case it is possible that you're not able to play at the same time, unfortunately. This is because of the Cross-Platform Cross-Progression and only one persona can be used (that is connected to one and the same EA account) at any time.

    @wardogs158, hmm, unfortunately you can't just transfer purchases over from one account to the other, so you gotta make another purchase on the new EA account in that case then, if you want to do this. Also please note that you will also not be able to make use of cross-progression in that case.

    @EA_Leeuw I’m sorry that’s what I meant. I need to create a new EA account with gamepass for my PC? I’m not concerned about the cross-progression, so that’s not an issue. My goal is solely to play both platforms simultaneously.

    @wardogs158, alright. Yeah, as long as you don't try to play simultaneously with the same EA account, you should be okay, as long as you are also not concerned about cross-progression.
