3 files removed on game exit directx crash

For the last few weeks every single time I exit the game 3 files get removed. I don't know what they are because steam 'Validate integrity of game files' doesn't say, but I have to run that check every time I want to play the game. If I do not do this and those files aren't reacquired, shortly after launching the game my graphics drivers completely crash leading to my screens going black and blinking a few times, before eventually landing on the desktop but everything is still black besides any windows I happen to have open. There's no way to fix this from this point that I'm aware of other than restarting the system. I never see the full error popup as it's partially glitched, but it's something directx related, though, seems the root cause is the 3 missing files. If they are there the graphics drivers work fine. 3080 latest drivers, 7800x3d, plenty of ram, storage, etc.
