Hi EA.
I'm on PC with recommended specs+. Here's an overview of the issue [see screenshot]:
Everytime I login, I receive this error. I have been trying since Nov 12 launch. I've literally stacked up 30+ hours in Steam Playtime and I haven't logged a match. I was able to access the beta just fine. I can access any other EA game, including other Battlefields
Error Number
1:468882297O: 1502I:-891751198O:0B
What I've Tried:
Everything listed in the FAQ, including basic networking and advanced networking articles
Restarting
Reinstalling BF2042
Hard uninstalling and reinstalling Origin
Updating my network drivers
Updating BIOS
Updating Windows 10
Use of the Google DNS in IPv4 and IPv6
Running all programs as administrator
Installing the EA app and launching the game from there
Resetting Connection settings to factory settings
Using a Wired Ethernet Connection
Closing all origin and EA background processes with Task Manager

Hi @itsYins,
Thanks for the info! What happens if you try changing the password for your EA Account? I've seen a few cases where that can actually make a difference with similar errors, so I'm curious if that would make a difference here as well.
You can find more info on how to change the password at the EA Help website. Let me know if it's still giving you the same error messages after that. Thanks again.
- @EA_Kent Whenever I port forward, it breaks the internet for all of my devices on both wifi and wired connections. I do have all of my network and router drivers up to date.

Hmm, that's definitely unusual. It might be best to reach out to your ISP to see if they can help you forward the ports or open them from their side. That may help you get them open without causing issues with your network.
@EA_Kent No luck but thanks for the suggestion. I'm definitely looking for more so if you have them, please suggest them.
Also, the error is now displaying "Connection Timeout" instead of "Unable to Connect to Online Services"

Thanks for following up!
I'm curious if setting a static IP address for Windows might make a difference as well. The Port Forward website has some instructions on how to set that up. If you're able to give it a shot please let me know if you're still running into the same error. Thanks again.
@EA_KentYes, I've played with both static and dynamic. No difference. I've tried a VPN but the second I enable the VPN, I lose connection to the internet. I spoke with my university network team and because I'm on University internet, they claim its a firewall issue that they cannot bypass. It's odd that this only happens with BF2042.
I'm able to access BF2042 from my laptop on my work wi-fi so it's likely isolated to a university network issue. Still weird that BF2042 is the only game I'm experiencing this issue with. Even weirder that I could access the beta and not the full game.- EA_Kent4 years ago

That is odd. BF2042 might be using different ports than other games or even the beta. If that port range is blocked on the university network that might explain why it can't connect.
- @EA_Kent Unfortunately, after speaking with my university IT dept, unblocking any ports is not an option. I'm outta luck.
