Aim assist

Is aim assist inexistent only on Xbox? I don't see many commenting, as most of the players seem to be from the PC.

It's really hard for casual gamers to have a good experience without a aiming aid when we're talking about a cross-platform game. Disabling this option is infeasible as it is not possible to find matches.

we're still on early access, but in a few months at most this difference will be even more striking between platforms. You can see this today with a basic comparison between the number of kills and assists recorded by players. PC gamers, in general, have a much higher kill rate than console gamers.

play 10 matches. Towards the end, compare the players' statistics and observe on the final screen the highlighted player who generated the most assists in the match. In the vast majority of cases this player is on the PC, console ones are usually there because of spot assists.

  • I've recently started playing BF5 on PS5 and the aiming is unresponsive.  A big difference from playing with a controller on my PC.  There is some kind of latency or input lag on PS5 that was not an issue for me on PC.

My aim slides past targets instead of allowing me to adjust.  Something definitely needs to be done to fix the aiming on the PS5.  It is so bad that even though I have just got this game and a PS5, I will go back to playing on PC.

    Edit:

The complaints about aiming on console are accurate.  I had to try it for myself to see the difference.  Maybe I need to check my television to make sure game mode is activated when using the PS5.

Edit 2:  Yes.  Game mode on the TV improved my PS5 experience tremendously.  I was used to game mode turning on automatically with the older consoles, but it did not work like that with the PS5.  Aiming on this platform feels much better now.
