AMD 25.6.1 still crashes BF2042 — the driver was updated, but nothing changed

I haven’t been able to play BF2042 at all with AMD driver version 25.5.1. Yesterday, I updated to the new 25.6.1 hoping it would fix the issue… but it didn’t. Less than 3 minutes into a match, the game crashes to desktop with no error message. Unfortunately, there still seems to be no solution so far — the only workaround is rolling back to driver version 25.4.1.
My GPU is a 6700 XT, and my CPU is a Ryzen 7 5800X3D

    I’ve done a lot of research, and there really isn’t a solution so far. The only way is to roll back to version 25.4.1 of the driver, which works perfectly. Download the AMD Cleanup Utility, uninstall everything from the current driver, install version 25.4.1, and that’s it. It’s a relatively recent driver, so it shouldn’t cause issues in other games, even though it’s not the latest one.

    I found out that the crash only occurs when you get killed and you press Q at the same time to spot the location

    And they want to hit 100mil players for bf6! Well with this issue I won’t be able to play if they can’t fix it. I absolutely refuse to roll back my drivers and if that means I don’t play then so be it

    seems to be the 6000 series gpu ,i can only use 25.3.2 driver im useing rx 6800 & 5700x3d needs to be sorted ea or amd !

    Hi - and for information - the latest 25.8.1 driver has this fixed. Tested with BF 2042 and died - and no longer crash to desktop !
