I am experiencing similar issues with an EVGA Nu Audio sound card. I read several reports of owners of different Focusrite devices having these audio dropout issues as well. I found out that one thing all these devices have in common is the use of an XMOS chip as the main sound processor:
- EVGA Nu Audio uses XMOS XU216-512-TQ128
- Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 3rd Gen uses XMOS XU216-256-TQ128
- Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 2nd Gen uses XMOS XU208-256-TQ64
It is quite likely that EA Anticheat does not play well with these XMOS sound processors. The thing is, my sound card works well in all other situations and I assume it is the same with you Focusrite Scarlett owners. So it would be great if someone at EA could provide a fix to their Anticheat software.
