I use a Focusrite interface and have had a similar issue. For me, I may randomly lose sound during the middle of a play session (not necessarily at the beginning). And for me it appears to only be affecting the game as I can still hear my squadmates on Discord. Rebooting the game fixes it when it does occur.
Next time try to unplug or disconnect your headset and then plug/connect it again.
It happened the other day and I tried disconnecting the headset, disconnecting the audio interface, and switching to my computer's speaker output, and none worked.
That's how i fix it every time. Just turn Spatial Sound ON and OFF or other way around.
