Battle field 2042 crashes after a few minutes of playing.

Computer - Dell G5 5500 Laptop

GPU - RTX 2070

LG G-SYNC Monitor

Windows 10

16 GB Ram

Computer crashes after only a few minutes of playing with no error code from EA app.

This seems more like Hibernating as when I press power it brings up any apps I had running on shutdown.

This only happens on Battlefield 2042, other games no problems.

I have completed a hardware check with Dell, all OK.

I have reformatted computer to a clean win 10 install and updated all drivers before installing EA App and Battlefield 2042.

I have run EA Anti cheat as administrator.

I have updated and run repair on the anticheat app

Still the same problem.

Every time this happens I have found the following error in the windows system log.

EAAntiCheatService

ExitType: 120

I have tried reaching out to EA Help a couple of times but they just suggest the things above that I have tried.

I was hoping some else may have been able to solve this problem in the past.

This issue has been happening for quite some time which is why I choose to wipe my hard drive and reformat .

  • Just had the same issue with the same error in event viewer along with|:

The EAAntiCheatService service terminated with the following error:
    %%4294901880

I also thought my PC had shut down but was immediately presented with the login screen after pressing the power button. First time this has happened, I can only think of a few times I've crashed to desktop in the ~800 hours I've been playing.

You likely have a different cause than the OP, so a separate posting would be more appropriate.

If you look in your DXDIAG report, the Diagnostics section shows multiple crashes of GalaxyClientService.exe. Try removing whatever software that is associated with (GOG Galaxy).
