I found a solution for error 25.
Use this method of a 3 years old video.
Worked on first try.
Doesnt work for me.
The game actually worked originally. Then I installed Win11, and got a code 14. Fixed that but game was laggy with delayed mouse sometimes... so I did a clean install of BF2042.
Now i get a Code 25.
Fix this game jfc....have y'all found a fix for the error code 25 yet?

- @TheRickless1 I’ve done what people have listed and will still receive error 25.
No EA response still. Ive fixed it by figuring out that my Laptop has 2nd graphic chip that wasnt up to date. (Amd vega). I downloaded radeon-software-adrenalin-2020-21.11.3 and it worked like a charm. gl
- @alex_v10m5 Thanks so much, this helped me too! I could play the game since today morning and suddenly in the evening I had the code 25 error. I didn't do anything between. Now I just downloaded the automatic installer from the AMD site and installed everything new. But other than you, I picked the recommended driver version and not the optional 21.11.3
So for the past week I have been trying to launch BF2042, but every time I do there's an error 25 message that shows up. When ever I press play the easy anti-cheat screen pops up and loads, then a second identical screen pops up and loads just to say that there's another launcher and wants me to close out. Then the first window gives me an error 25 message. This was happening back during the beta after a few matches. I've gone through the trouble shooting advice and nothing working.
My platform is Steam
Pretty much the same behavior on my PC. EAC closes twice, only no error at the end. I was having direct x issues (the game would pass the EAC and lock at the boat animation screen in-game) before I upgraded to the latest version of Windows 10. Now it is this.
Also i updated my drivers (AMD) and that didn't work so im just going to uninstall and reinstall till it works i guess.
