Battlefield 2042 Crashing to Desktop (No error or warning) Me too

I am posting in this thread and I have posted in the older one. I am still getting frequent crashes to desktop with no error. Sometimes after a few rounds, sometimes within a few minutes (5-7min). It is becoming beyond frustrating to play at this point as the crash happens suddenly and unexpectedly. This never happened prior to the current season update and does not happen in any other game.

What I have attempted so far:

• I uninstalled the Logitech software for M/K
• I ran a monitor for CPU and GPU temps, no overheating. Temps are all within normal range
• I have disabled overalys for NVIDIA, Discord, Origin.. .etc
• I have re-installed GPU drivers using a clean install, on latest NVIDIA drivers
• I have verified integrity of the game files using Steam's tool
• Tried running game in borderless window
• Have run sfcscan and repaired
• Have reinstalled the game completely
• Tried most of the fixes in this thread so far
• Updated Windows
• Closed background apps

I really do hope this has been escalated to the devs. A response or acknowledgement would be very welcome as well.

heey i did a clean boot, ran the game as Administrator, it lasted for 22 minutes. Then Crash to desktop without an error.

de link is van de ondersteunende RAM voor jou moederbord. Volgens de screenshot heb jij de type f4-3200c16-8gvgb van gskill.
Als ik door de lijst met ondersteuning van RAM kijk , zie ik niet die type geheugen staan. Dit wil niet zeggen dat het ook inderdaad tot problemen kan lijden, maar dat je dan vaak zoiets soort van compatible kunt maken in de bios. Een moederbord fabrikant zal vaak niet alle geheugen types controleren ivm met de enorme aantal en variaties van geheugen types/merken/specs.
Dit kan ook betekenen dat als je ander geheugen plaatst die wel in de lijst voor komt , bf2042 probleem niet hoeft op telossen. Tevens zie ik dat jou moederbord ook een lijst heeft van ondersteunende SSD drives, ook hier zie ik jou drives er niet in terug. Ook hier weer wil dat niet zeggen dat het niet werkt/compatible is.

Persoonlijk zou ik proberen om de geheugen in de bios op 1 of andere wijze de config aan tepassen zodat het een soort van compatible word.

PS wil je die torture blend test is laten draaien voor minimaal 30 minuten , en dan via het menu in Prime95 de test stoppen , dan krijg je een verslag wat hij gedaan heeft en of hij problemen is tegen gekomen !
Als je wallet geschikt is , zou ik persoonlijk toch kijken voor nieuw geheugen , om dat probleem in iedergeval uit tesluiten ! 

@sealsdragonals je nieuw geheugen mocht kopen, wees er dan zeker van dat als je 2 ram dimmetjes koopt, minimaal 16gb (2x8gb) , beide in het zelfde doosje zitten.
Dit ivm batch compibiliteit, koop dan ook alleen geheugen die in de ondersteunende ram lijst voor komt . Ik zie dat je tot maximaal 3600mhz geheugen kan gebruiken, maar dat dan wel waarschijnlijk in je bios ook op 3600mhz moet instellen met een xmp profile of manueel. Zorg er ook voor dat de geheugen dual channel is l

Ik heb mn pc ongeveer 2 jaar geleden gekocht bij een bedrijf dat game pc's maakt. Die stoppen toch geen non compatable items in je moederboord?

Kijk het kan altijd zijn dat iets kapot gaat, kijk maar naar m'n Xilence watercooler. Maar dat houdt wel in dat BF 2042 zo zwaar is op je pc en onderdelen dat het spel spelen je pc binnen een jaar naar de knoppen helpt...

@sealsdragon  Ja inderdaad "HEEL vreemd" dat het bedrijf er geheugen in heeft geplaatst die niet op de lijst staan, Maar dat zou ook kunnen betekenen dat het waarschijnlijk misschien toch compatible is ! Of dat er gewoon klakkeloos een systeem in elkaar is gezet !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BF2042 is een zwaar spel zo gezegd, vooral voor CPU. Wat geheugen betreft , kan het zijn dat de game / eac een update heeft gehad waar door hij op de 1 of andere manier data van geheugen leest die een probleem kan verzoorzaken. Het beste is nogmaals SFC / SCANNOW te doen in command prompt met administrator rechten. Je kan je windows 10 ook nog verder updaten , heb je al gechecked of deze volledig update is ?

Wat je misschien beter kan doen is nieuwe windows 10 er opzetten , en zodra er een nieuwe kale windows 10 er op staat , meteen een SFC / SCANNOW  doen, als er zich direct fouten bevinden op een nieuwe kale windows 10 , dan is de kans groot dat je geheugen een probleem veroorzaakt 

Vandaag was er een persoon die een downgrade van videokaart driver van 516.94 naar 516.59 deed , wat het probleem bij hem verhielp ! https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/drivers/results/190561/

Oude driver eerst verwijderen via een schone installatie, of eventueel volledig te deinstalleren met het programma DDU (op de GURU website). Lees instructies hoe je huidge driver COMPLEET verwijderd .

Het probleem in dit geval bij jou is moeilijk te achter halen nu ivm hardware compatibiteit en wat de updates van game/eac mogelijk hebben gedaan. Je zou het 1 voor 1 moeten controleren, downgraden van videokaart tot je misschien een driver vind die geen problemen geetf , uitgebreide test op je geheugen uitvoeren. En er zeker van zijn dat geinstalleerde software en/of aangesloten hardware geen problemen veroorzaakt. 

Een bios reset kan ook helpen, en zal ook vaak problemen in geheugen kunnen aantonen na de reset.

Eigenlijk is het nu zo dat het systeem niet aan de vereisten voldoet voor de game / eac , ivm incompatible hardware en / of instellingen. Een soort van , spel zou kunnen werken , maar wij geven geen garantie daar op, mits u voldoet aan alle voorwaarden.

Nieuwe windows 10 "kan" een probleem oplossen 

Even een belangerijke vraag , kan je me vertellen welke bios versie er op je systeem staat ?!

Stel ik koop nog zo'n set en prik die erbij, zou het probleem dan verholpen zijn?
Ohja, hoeveel schade kan dat Torture test programma doen? Aan CPU en RAM en Coolingsysteem?
Ik zag in MSI overburner tijdens de eerste test de CPU temp af en toe oplopen naar 92 graden...

@sealsdragon Hey man, ja je moet de TEMP wel blijven checken, een processor kan al snel rond die temperatuur komen ,, en geheugen word ook heet , weet alleen niet hoeveel temp je geheugen normaal / maximaal kan zijn. Zorg er voor dat je een goede AIRFLOW in je kast hebt, word het ook allemaal beter , stabieler en soms ook sneller van !!

Nee ik zou niet die zelfde type halen. De geheugen die er nu in zit staat niet op de QVL lijst , wat dus mogelijk maakt dat jij in bf2042 en EAC problemen hebt !

Hoeveel geheugen wil je er insteken, 32gb totaal ? Ook van het zelfde merk ? En van zelf sprekend dualchannel geheugen natuiurlijk !!!
Zeg maar dan kan ik wel even snel kijken voor je wat je zou kunnen doen

moet wel zeggen dat de gskill varianten die op de QVL lijst staan heel moeilijk, of niet te vinden zijn.
Je zou van merk kunnen wisselen bv voor een KINGSTON HyperX Predator gaan, ook een 3200Mhz , dan is een 32gb wel rond de 140 euro (inclusief verzend kosten)
Meer geheugen en sneller geheugen kost natuurlijk ook meer, wat is het budget dat je er voor geheugen wilt uitgeven ?

Gewoon ff een vraag, Ik heb over 650 uur gespeeld en eigenlijk zonder performance issues, behalve dan dat ik een nieuw cooling systeem heb moeten kopen... waarom dan nu ineens? Eigenlijk na de Update van Season 2?

Na het plaatsen van het nieuwe watercoolingsysteem, hebben ze de 2 ventilatoren van het vervangen systeem extra in mijn pc geschroefd, heb dus nu naast de 2 ventilatoren van het watercoolingsysteem nog 4 ventilatoren die de airflow in de kast regelen.

* Kan ik geen blijvende schade krijgen als ik dat Torture programma voor een half uur laten draaien?

Ja ik wil er eigenlijk dan 2 van 8GB bij steken, zodat ik dan 32GB geheugen heb. Een vriend van me uit Canada kreeg ook performance issues met BF 2042. Hij kreeg ook het advies om zijn geheugen uit te breiden en heeft nu ook 32GB op zijn moederboard. Hij kan nu zonder problemen gamen....

So I disabled DLSS and I played a few rounds with no crashes. That's a record for me this week (was crashing every 10-30 minutes before). Can't confirm yet that this was the issue, but it's promising.

@Rokebo73 Heey, Ik ga nog niet te hard juigen, maar met de nieuwe update en een nieuwe Nvidia driver update, heb ik 2 games kunnen spelen, zonder crash... 🙂
