I had this issue a little while ago however it got patched and now it's back. Whenever i try to load into a playlist, it does the countdown then I'm hit with a black screen with the loading symbol in the centre and put straight back into the main menu. No error code of the sort, it's as if nothing happened. I do have a clip of this issue. My friends still load into the game however it seems it's only me having this issue for whatever reason. When i restart i can play one game however when i search afterwards it happens again. So now i have to restart every time to play 1 game. It's kind of ridiculous to be completely honest. Edit - I'd mute the video cause there's static for whatever reason, double click to get it full screen. @EA_Leeuw @EA_Atic

I haven't tried that yet however i did do a network reset on windows. I did this by going to windows settings, network and internet, advanced network settings and then did a network reset. Restarted my pc and so far seems to be working. I am actually able to play the game's 24/7 conquest again however unfortunately all the other game modes do not work still. I will check my router settings and see if i do have a double NAT type however this hasn't really affected me in any other game apart from this one. if this is the fix the people need to fix the loop then many people aren't gonna be happy or may not even know how to do this. There's has to be another way but I'll give it a shot and let you know if it fixes the other maps. @EA_Leeuw

It does seem similar however the issue i had was it'd do the countdown, countdown ends and then black screen with loading symbol straight back to the lobby. I have resolved this issue temporarily by just uninstalling and reinstalling the game however it happens often and i don't want to uninstall and reinstall the game every time. The problem first arose when i tried matchmaking with a squad of 4. They'd get in the game but i wouldn't. Hope this helps contribute towards a fix.

It got to the point yesterday when, even though I'd restart the game, it would still have that matchmaking issue so I wasn't able to play completely until I did a complete reinstall. @EA_Leeuw

Exact same issue here. I've tried a bunch of * like reinstalling (deleting battlefield 2042 folders and origin folders), clearing caches, and allocating more virtual memory. I am at a COMPLETE loss here. 2 days ago, I tried to play the game again after a couple of months of not playing and it worked fine. I played 3 games of 24/7 spearhead breakthrough and a couple games of conquest. If I recall correctly, I loaded into the matches with no issues at all. Now, today when I try to play, I find lobbies no problem, go through the countdown with the helicopter animation, but I get kicked back to the lobby after about 10-20 seconds of the 4 spinning squares with the black screen. PLEASE someone tell me there is a fix because I wanted to play this game again seeing as they're at peaking player counts for the first time in like a year.

Its May 2023 and this is still an issue. I can't believe they didn't give out refunds for this dumpster fire. I sent a ticket off about this and its been 2 weeks with no answer. I'm about to just give up and move on....never again

Still have the same problem since beta, I think this is a problem with NAT or internet settings. (My NAT setting already set as OPEN)
But why other game won't occur this issue? (Ex: APEX BF5 BF1)
My friend won't occur this issue when connecting the network with PPPOE

Just found this thread as I have the same issue. Last time I played was about a week or two before the end of season 6 battlepass. And everything was alright. And then I've tried several days ago and today and got this problem of black screen and returning to main menu after matchmaking. Since last time nothing changed for me (same PC same Internet provider), maybe some windows updates though.
I've tried a VPN and it connects and works normally, but I have terrible ping when using it.

Edit: now it doesn't work even with VPN.
VPN off: after countdown I see black screen and then return to Main Menu.
VPN on: after countdown I see loading screen, and after some loading time there is loading animation (blue boxes on a black screen), and then game returns to Main Menu
