Battlefield 2042 text to voice cannot be toggled off please fix!

I turned on the text to voice thinking i would give it a try during setup and I hate it. There is no way to turn if off in game. Please tell me i dont need to reinstall!

    I found a fix for this. If you are on Windows, go to you documents folder and find the BF 2042 settings folder. Do to this quickly, hit windows key + R and paste this in: 

    C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\Battlefield 2042\settings

    There should be a file called "PROFSAVE_profile"

    Open the file in Notepad

    Ctrl+F and find "GstAudio.TTSEnabled 1"

    Change the 1 to a 0 and save


    Reload BF

This does not seem to work if you bought from steam ☹️

@BLASTER5620I bought it from steam and it worked. What exactly is the problem you’re running into during this fix?
