Thanks, EQ_Leeuw, for the prompt reply.
Here's my DXDiag info. Turns out I was wrong, and Windows isn't 100% up to date, so doing that now. Nvidia drivers should be, though.
Will report back if problem persists after updating Windows, but as someone who plays several times per week most weeks, I've never had any issues with the Origin Version of the game, since day one.
To the point of the other poster in this thread, as someone who originally purchased the Steam version, it was hot-trash and crashed regularly. I refunded it within the hour per Steam policy, however the Origin version has been clean and worked fine up until this recent patch.

Looks like Windows Updates had a positive impact. No crashes yet.

@dijikul, thanks for the file & awesome to hear that you went ahead to see if you could fix it yourself. Glad to hear as well that it eventually turned out to be Windows Update. Were there some additional updates by any chance? The ones that you have to 'manually install' via the PC settings menu?
