Hi mate. I’m having the same issue but with Fortnite!!! Mine has been freezing and shutting down for just under 12 months. Took it to my local repair shop in January and they thought it was just overheating so gave it a clean. Was ok for about a week and same thing started happening again.
As I rarely get the chance to play on my series x I just thought I would leave it, until this week when I took it back to the same repair shop. They have done a more thorough diagnosis of it this time and possibly narrowed it down the the hdmi retimer.
they have said they have had Fortnite running for about 4 hours and no crashes whatsoever (it usually crashes after about 10-15 minutes for me).
They said use full hd screens when repairing consoles/pcs so plugged it into a 4k screen and it crashed within 10 mins.
They have said they have not been able to change the hdmi retimer chip on a series x as of yet so looks like I might have to just play in 1080p from now on! Not ideal at all
So what you're saying is use 1080p? well i think my TV is only 720p so that rules out BF crashing on my Xbox series x! and the only game to crash may i add! oh did you read the Xbox one edition of the game dont crash? so i guess that also rules out your theory.

It’s not my theory, just saying what the repair shop has told me for my situation. It sounded very similar to what is happening to my Xbox, and just putting across what I have been told.
