Battlefield 2042 Xbox Crashing or Shutting Down console

I'm sorry but even if it is, 99% of the games running on the console don't make the console crash. If there's something linked to bad hardware then they should address it and fix it with an update acting as a workaround. The answer shouldn't be "just buy another xbox". But I'm guessing the playerbase encountering this problem is too small so that will never be fixed.

It’s the Xbox mate that’s why nothing is happening and will never be fixed go back read my comments reason why I discovered it was my Xbox. Microsoft released bad batches and they are not admitting it as don’t want to be embarrassed 

I too have been affected by this problem for a year now and only on BF 2042. Yesterday I had 5 shutdowns per hour of play. The problem is definitely on the side of xbox and its quality control of games and the reported problems from players that they ingorge. Yesterday after the release of season 7 even those who didn't have problems before are now getting crushed on xsx. Collecting all the information we can say that the problem is with EA games based on the Frosbite proprietary engine. As we know, many of the specialists who knew this engine are no longer working for EA and have been replaced by the people who created the worst BF ever, 2042 - a game full of problems since its premiere. I bought the gold version at launch for about $100 and it is the worst money spent in my life. I understand I now have to buy a new xbox because EA can't fix it?

Yes you do, you could save money and trade in your old one 

will only replace my xsx if games other than those based on Frosbite cause problems. I play mainly Apex and zero problems but that game is not made by amateurs from new Dice and therefore works perfect. I have played BF since Bad company and I am a fan of the series but until BF5. 2042 only evokes negative emotions in me and I am not alone. BTW no one confirms the flawed xbox series for that the current state of dice everyone knows.

These are the comments on rededit after the season 7 premiere yesterday. Go tell them to replace their consoles because it's a hardware problem. I get the impression from your comments that you either work for EA or don't understand something.

Hey dude it has nothing to do with your "conspiracy theorys" xbox didn't release bad batches and the fact you think you can come to a game forum to spread a bunch of false info without getting flagged is concerning.... go check reddit as well before giving a bunch of false info, all of us can play the game fine and every other game fine, it's literaly only the new map causing the crashes, I can play conquest and everything else as Iong as it's not the new map, they released the map with issues and have already admitted it on twitter... but keep blaming xbox because you seem to not be able to take care of your console

Well you and your Reddit nerds don’t have the same issue than what this forum post is about so you should shut up and sit down! As the issues we are having/had didn’t matter what map you was on it would crash every time so before you go around spreading miss I formation maybe get your facts right! 

just funny how I own 3 Xboxes works fine on 2 but the oldest one out the 3 it’s an issue!

I don't have a reddit account goofball and I just created a forum account so I can see if more people talking bout it... and no crap people will check reddit if the games bricking console.. PS I only read the first sentence you typed due to fact that you don't know what your talking about... OK now I read it, this post was probably from people who couldn't afford a series X and use a one X, It is a fact that the new map is crashing the series X your last statement is completely irrelevant and you sound mad

I have to agree with you here. This issue has plagued my series x for nearly two years. With only EA games. Tried absolutely everything with both Microsoft and ea. in the end Microsoft offered a replacement console even thought it was ages out of warranty. I didn’t take it. Got a new one and since then, not had any issues. I bought my console fairly quickly after they first came out and I’ve read that other people bought theirs at a similar time

Because my son owns 3 Xboxes! so this is what happened.

buys a series x for my son Christmas present not long after the released.

every game worked fine. Until he wanted to play battlefield!

roll on the following Christmas, he get a second Xbox series x from his mum (we are separated so now he has Xbox at both our houses) he tries battlefield on new Xbox has zero problems!

so I go out and buy him another for at my house and guess what? It works perfectly.

so I think anyone that has early(ish) batches of Xbox series x will have this problem. 

funny thing is it wasn’t just battlefield that had the problem on the faulty Xbox also WWE2K did it! But also fine on his other 2 

It's just weird because I don't have this problem with any other games. I'm not the only one having the problem either

Trust me that’s what I kept saying, when did you buy the Xbox? Also why did Microsoft offer me a free repair even when it was way out of warranty? They know they had a dodgy early batches of Xboxes but didn’t want to admit and look embarrassed 

Oh they offered you a free repair? I believe I bought it in 2020 or so. I remember they were hard to get. I contacted Microsoft and my next step is to do a hard reset on the console which I really don't feel like doing. Did they make you go through that process also? I didn't realize they offered to fix it

Yes I tried everything nothing helped, you need to speak to someone on the phone and don’t give in say you had a bad batch! And funny that as I think that’s when I got mine 

I hate to admit this but I believe a bad batch to be the only correct answer. Funny how I bought mine at a similar date - fairly quickly after they were released. I have the exact same issue, but with literally any new series X version of an EA game. 

the only thing I put it down to is that they were rushing consoles out as the hype was huge and they were hard to get. I have tried literally every troubleshooting step. Contacted both EA & Microsoft who eventually offered me a refurbished console, for free. Considering my console was about a 2 years out of the standard 1 year warranty. Either way I declined, bought a new one myself and can now play fine. 

Dammit.... I might have to take the refurbished one then. I can't afford a new one at the moment
