Battlefiled 2042 on PS4 game won't load persistence data at startup

Battlefield 2042 will not load on PS4.  Internet connection is fine and all other games work as usual.  Battelfield 2042 starts as usual.  I click the "x" to connect to online services and then, eventually, get an error that the game can't load persistence data and I will be returned to the start screen.  If I return to the start screen, the process repeats.  I've seen the answers about turning off cross-play.  I can't even get to that point.  Very frustrating.  Any ideas?

    @lstrileyDon't do anything that is suggested in the Help section of these forums, like messing with your router setup!

    Wait a day or so and you'll start connecting normally again.

    It's an EA issue.

    I used to get it occasionally when I played on Xbox One.

    I'd come back next day and the problem disappeared.

    Thanks very much.  It's been several days but I do think it's an EA problem.  I'll just wait it out.  Happy Holidays!
