BF2024 exit to desktop with no error

Looking to solve problem with Battlefield 2042 , game just turning off to desktop. I attached crash dump.

For me it happens sometimes (once about every 2 weeks). When it does, it usually takes a few tries and the problem is gone.
I havent reset anything, just started it again.
Usually it crashes back to desktop 1-2 minutes after starting when still in the menus.
And yes i'm also on i9-13900 with 64GB
So not a big issue for me, but hopefully it will help the devs identifying the problem for others

Is there a way to contact you on discord? I am on the BF server. I am also facing the same exact issue and I look everywhere and your name pops up and you seem like the only one who can debug this
Same CPU same crash to desktop without any errors , this game is beyond broken at this point and it is live for 2 years , patch after patch just worse and worse.
is there an i9 13900K issue ?
- @OnceAStray Try downloading the intel extreme tuning utility from their website and lower your core clocks to 55x or 54x, this solved it for me and it seems others have had success with it as well with the i9 13900k.
- @Pandykitten that's not a fix , that's a downgrade on the best cpu the market can buy currently , they need to fix it on their own , no way i'm downclocking my anything hardware related.
This is a gamebreaking bug and needs to be adressed asap by the devs. - @off3nc3 I’m not saying they shouldn’t fix any issues on their end causing this, I’m just saying that this works as a temporary solution if you want to play right now hoping they can do something about in the future if possible. With my system at least the performance in-game is identical whether I’m using 58x/56x rather than 54x so for me it’s worth it to be able to play as of now, but each to their own. I’m also using a separate profile only for BF2042, so I am using normal values for all the other games.
THANK YOU so much, @Pandykitten 🤩 I can finally play BF2042 again... I was losing my nerves, countless crashes to desktop, the game sometimes did not even start.
I reduced the Performance ratio from 55x to 53x and the Intel Utility Tool and can finally start the game and join a map.Thanks you thank you thank you!

- @Air_Baeron_HSV Happy to hear it’s working 😊 I felt the same way until my boyfriend suggested we try this. Hopefully they can fix the issue eventually!
