Hey everyone, I know a lot of us have had issues after the most recent update on Battlefield 2042 and getting black screened when launching. what I did to make it stop black screening was to go into Origin desktop>My Game Library>Right click on BF2042 and click repair. This is what worked for me, hopefully it will work for you.

Good afternoon,
Black screen for me.
I've tried many of these fixes and to no avail.
To the best of my knowledge all of them provided by people who play the game and are trying to help others get their games up and running....too you all a big Thanks!...🙂
Unless it's out there and I can't find it where is EA's recommendations to fix or repair?
Please help.

Hey, @ROCKWELL202 can you try a clean boot to see if any programs are messing with Battlefield 2042 and turn off any overlay programs, such as Discord or Nvidia experience.

Can you add a Dxdiag so we can see what hardware and drivers you have?

I'm facing the same problem
And it's a black screen when the game is launched and when I look at task manager the task of BF42 is 0% consuming of the gpu
My graphics card is the rx 550 4gb it was running smoothly on 720 to 1080 with almost 60 frames but after installing some directx versions and messing with the vc redist it's not working anymore
