BF2042 DirectX Error (Might be all EA games?)
I've been trying to get this addressed the last couple of weeks, but nothing.

Cyberpunk, Space Marine, etc are still running fine, (and are clearly using the GPU given how smoothly they run,) but this happens every time I try to start BF2042.
I've done multiple driver re-installs (with and without DDU), I've deleted the license files, I've re-installed and repaired the game.
Now I've discovered that Wildlands, which I installed to ease my annoyance, also isn't booting.
Again, everything but my EA games appear to be operating normally.
Help?
Thanks.
After weeks of trying, I have finally tracked the problem down. I'm posting my fix here in case it's helpful to anyone else.
When starting Battlefield 2042 I would get a DirectX crash saying my video card had been removed. Other EA apps would crash, (which I only discovered later) but 2042's error code was the most in-depth, and led me to believe it was something about my NVIDIA driver/card.
In the interim time, I realized Adobe Premiere (which I use at my day job) was no longer displaying its video preview, and the Geforce Experience had stopped displaying anything but a black screen framed by the usual bars.
Putting all of these pieces together, Google turned up a forum post suggesting that the user had an Intel integrated GPU in their laptop (as do I) and they had solved their problems by disabling it. This seemed counter intuitive, but I did, and it worked, and so I rolled the Intel Arc Driver back to a 2023 version: Problem fixed.
So: If you're hitting any of the above symptoms, download an older version of the Intel drivers from your manufacturer (HP in my case), uninstall your current Intel drivers, and install a slightly older set. If the problem flares up due to an automagic update, use the Rollback Driver button in the Device Manager.
