My game crashes 100% of the time while I'm in matches. Occasionally I'm able to play 2-3 matches, but for the most part the game randomly freezes and crashes whereafter I;m returned to the PS5 homescreen. No clue as to what might cause this. It always happens as I'm in-match.
Anyone else with this issue?
@Crazybasilisk Sorry bud but if it’s doing that in other games it ain’t looking good. Looks like you tried everything apart from maybe reinstalling the system software. If your not getting any recorded error codes you’ll just be guessing.
when it crashes what’s the screen doing? Freezes or blank with console switching off.
It have started on the BF2042 in December, leading me to uninstalling it. Then it continued to JWE2 and Riders Republic. Then it have disappeared at all, I have reinstalled BF2042 on 30 December, and it have started again when I have deleted it. Riders Republic, Spider Man, Far Cry 6. The screen just goes black without any sound and PS5 needs to be unplugged. I have reinstalled the BF2042 a hour ago and testing it again. While the BF2042 is installed – other games are working fine, BF isn't. When it's deleted – other games are crashing.
Update: BF2042 just hard crashed again after 1 hour 26 minutes.
Is the console light still on when it does this? I take it there is no sound either from tv or joypad. Strange you are no getting any error codes recorded. A sudden freeze or lose of power is meant to be recorded.
im only asking these questions in case anyone else has any ideas just so there is a bigger picture.
EDIT: In all honesty Id just Reinstall the System Software (not the update) from USB if you feel you've tried everything else. I've did it three times now on different PS4's and it wasn't too difficult a task. You'll get the OS from the Official Playstation website.
Mine only does it on the bf2042 game ive played hours of spiderman on max resolution settings it only happens when I play 128 player bf I don't think it's done it on 64 players so it obviously can't handle 128 players with so much going on, I bought the gold edition so I could transfer from ps4 to my ps5 I want a refund as this is not the only thing, I cannot believe there is NO scoreboard as it might offend someone HOW will it that's bs, bf4 and bf1 in my opinion were the best fps games ever made and I'm a cod player since cod 4 but this (bf2042) has gone in such a different direction like all AAA nowadays thinks copying fortnite is the way to go all fps games in the past couple years are greed driven and short term gains the poor devs can make amazing games but can't even use there vision because stupid dead lines and catering for part time players with pocket money for skins, such a sad time to be a gamer ☹️ epic ea activision should be ashamed these games are no where near finished on release in some cases alphas/beta games feels bad for the devs
I'm having the same issue and so is my Buddy. We're all on PS5. Him and I crash at the exact same time.
I too am continuously experiencing the game freezing and then crash since day 1 of the release. I have been a long time fan of BF and this is the worst experience I have ever had with any BF game since OG BF2142. I have factory reset PS5, uninstalled the game multiple times and this still happens. This is not a PS5 issue as it does not crash on any other game. And of course no answers or fixes is UNSAT for a game I paid $90 for; And yes I was expecting bugs but this continuous freeze and crash is UNSAT EA. Please stop all the generic canned answers and fix the darn game!! And no, I don't want a refund as I will Always be a Battlefield Fan, I just want the game to function as intended!
