BF2042 only shows 5k resolution

Not finding any solution for this issue yet so hoping someone here can help me...here's the problem. Purchased a new computer HP ENVY 34 (21:9), Win 11, 16GB, 1GB SSD, i7 12th gen, RTX 3060 video. BF runs from STEAM hub, I have all the latest OS and driver updates. Game loads and runs but the only resolution I have to choose is 5k (5120x2160) no other choices. computer will not run BF2042 that well at that resolution and I don't get why I can't see any other resolutions to drop down to. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Steam and BF a couple time now and also reinstalled video drivers. Still no change any suggestions?
