I pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition almost 2 months ago, and am now trying to pre-load the game for full release. Every time I attempt the pre-load download, I get 'Download Error - Origin was unable to download your game. Please check your internet connection, or try again later.'Are the download servers just overwhelmed, or is there a general failure and pre-loads just aren't working right now?Multiple error reports sent, most recently 146da0b420162130

So, the 'fix' for me appears to be cancelling and then doing the pre-order again. Stupid, basically getting double charged since my bank already had the funds on hold, and hasn't released them. Now, I can pre-load though. So, yay?

I'm guessing the servers are probably overwhelmed atm. I would give some time and try again. Good thing is, you have plenty of time to download it.

i think servers overwhelmed just wait some time or try restart origin every time when u have error

Considering the flak they got during both betas, and the current state of online games, they should probably focus on transparency from the beginning.
I've played a half dozen betas this year, into their full releases.
The best of them for transparency was Splitgate, and they only grew and grew from it.

EA has plenty of staff.
They need to give people basic info to manage expectations.

It probably IS servers being overwhelmed, but I work a full time job and can't just sit here hoping it downloads eventually.

If you get those error its not related to download servers issues its connected with the account and you need to reach out to EA Support.

Just something for note, you dont pre-purchase games on Origin/EA App only pre-order. So we would have tanked the money in last few days instead of months ago.

@EA_Atic It doesn't really matter when the money was taken.

So what you're saying is that the download servers are fine, and there is some 'issue' with our accounts when we see this error.

I confirmed the money was taken, and the game shows on my account for pre-load. Why does a download error with that verbiage indicate an account issue?

@EA_Atic EA chat support rep Khushi confirmed everything on my account is fine. Two sides of the same support system need to get their troubleshooting in line.

I'm redoing all my basic troubleshooting, as EA chat wants me to release/clear all my IP info. I already did that, but now I can say I did it just for them.

I did a full release of IP and DNS info per EA Chat's suggestion, and same error.

The issue here is frustration increasing because no one knows what's going on, and gives conflicting info.

AHQ says contact support, servers are fine.
That error is an 'account issue'.

EA Chat says, 'nope, account is fine, but it could be an IP issue, so do all this stuff again.'

Both are wrong.
Please escalate to get your community some answers.
We deserve it, and aren't really asking for much.

@Valor958 sorry to hear about the experience you had, you dont need to do troubleshooting on this issue.

One thing to note, EA forums are not EA Support its player helping player forums. Part of what we Community mangers do is helping out on the forums.

Let EA Support they need to take a look on the account.
