Black Box on Left Side of screen

I have installed BF 2042 2 times now and i still have a black box on the left side of my screen.  This is the only game that does this.  Any fixes?

    Yes!  I found that if I pull up the Nvidia GeForce Experience Overlay (Alt + Z), and then click on the gear icon.  Scrolling all the way to the bottom under "Performance Monitoring", and make sure "Always Show Reflex Flash Indicator" is unchecked.  This fixes the black box issue.  Make sure to pass this on to your assistants.  Thanks.

    Hey @Brandt75, 

    I've had a similar issue in the past, which turned out to be caused by Nvidia Overlay.

    There is a forum thread over on the Nvidia forums about a similar issue (but in BF1) as well.

    Is it possible that you have GeForce Experience installed, with Nvidia Overlay? If so, can you try the following: "Open GeForce Experience and pull up the in-game overlay settings. From there, go to the HUD settings in the overlay and disabled the camera."

    great info!!!!!!!! thank you my guy for commenting this ive had this damn black square on my screen for a while i decided to look it up!!!! and im glad i found your comment give this guy some bucks

    Thank you so much. This has been bugging me for weeks! I almost bought a whole new graphics card because I thought it was a hardware error. You saved me a lot of money.
