Blue Screen of Death after closing BF2042 *FIX HAS BEEN FOUND*
So every time i close BF2042 since the S6 update my PC keeps blue screening causing a LKD_0x141_Tdr:6_IMAGE_nvlddmkm.sys_Ampere_UserOC Crash on my RTX 3080 to crash never happened until after the S6 ...
@dragoonx008 The issue seems to be related to EA anti-cheat across multiple games, not just Battlefield. It can be fixed by going to: Windows Security > Device Security > Core Isolation > Turn on Memory Integrity(Toggle off/on if already on).
If this setting is not visible in the security section, you may have to enable virtualization in your BIOS. I had to do this for my system and the memory integrity setting appeared immediately after. I hope this helps anyone experiencing the same issue and saves you time searching around for a solution!
Select the desired drivers (hold Shift and left click to mark more than one), then do a right click on your selection and first select: Change Status > and select: Stop > if they are running!
Do another right click on your selection, this time select: Change Startup Type > and set it to: Manual (see following screenshot)
Reboot your computer afterwards so the changes can take effect.
After rebooting check first with either ServiWin or Autoruns if the drivers are really stopped and set to manual startup.
If yes, then start BF2042 and as soon as you are in the main menu, exit the game, this time hopefully without any BSOD.
To re-enable the drivers with ServiWin:
Run ServiWin as Administrator
Select the desired drivers (hold Shift and left click to mark more than one), then do a right click and select first: Change Startup Type > and set it to: System (see following screenshot)
Reboot your system.
Please also note there is no need to rename or delete the drivers, as it should be enough just to set the startup type to manual.
This is also the cleaner and safer method than renaming a driver, as renaming a driver could have other side effects to your system or applications (like ArmouryCrate or other ASUS related software), and if needed, you can always re-enable them with either ServiWin or Autoruns again and everything should be back to as before.
I hope this helps in the meantime, until this gets solved by EA 😉

It worked for me like a charm when by using serviWin I disabled only the amdgpio3 that is apparently responsible for the lights and for crate. I played and disabled all the asus and amd drivers and slowly put them one by one back on. It was a * to finally find it out because it feels bad to get a blue screen every day that i open the game. And since EA dont care about us we have to help ourselves. For the ones who get a blue kernel scvreen when selecting the profile at loading, just delete this profile and create a new one. IT will get fixed.
I still get a blue screen on exit (both player and manager leagues became corrupted in the process of the blue screens as well) and unfortunately this didn't work for me. It first started when I was tinkering with the lighting in armory crate, and then downloaded all the newest armory crate drivers - this is what broke it for me. I said to heck with the lights and uninstalled armory crate - this did not fix it. Downloaded serviWin and see that amdgpio3 isn't even started. Using intel proc and nvidia graphics card.
Is anything else happening here? When will the bug be fixed? I need my Ausus drivers, my fans and LED lights etc. go crazy when I disable the Asus drivers. Who has to fix this now, Asus or EA?
Deactivating the drivers is not the solution to the problem!!! My water cooling, pump, fan, LED lights, motherboard monitor board display etc. are going crazy. The solution can only be provided by EA and they don't seem to care if we Asus users can play the game or not. They already got our money, why bother now after 6 months when the problem is known. We don't even get any information or an explanation about this problem here, nobody comments on it, we are simply left in the lurch. It's really sad that a big game manufacturer like EA does this. I think many people will no longer trust EA after the whole BF2042 story and will no longer buy a game, myself included. This is not a service, mistakes can happen no problem, but 6 months long no information about it and nothing happens, that's not fair! That was wasted money for something that many Asus users can no longer use.
Using serviwin - I shut down AsIO, Asusgio2 & 3. ASUSgio2 is the only one that actually says stopped - the other 2 are "stopping". While I can play the game without a BSOD on exiting the game. I can't restart AsIO or Asusgio3 using serviwin (say's an instance is already running). To make it more fun the pc needs a clean boot (errors come up from the the two drivers that were stuck in stopping) and then a restart to get back to normal. I will not be buying the next version of FC or whatever they decide to call it without knowing that the issue has been fixed. EA can eat a bag of ***** for their poor level of support.
As on 2024-04-09 the issue for many ASUS Motherboard owners (Including me) are still present and no one from EA has acknowledged the issue since Season 6 launched and the EA Anti-Cheat was implemented in BF2042. I have been an avid Battlefield player my entire life but this is just ridiculous and keeps me from enjoying the game just to know that on my next EXIT I will get a BSOD!!
@EA, You know that since you implemented EA Anti-Cheat into BFV, the issue started there as well..
BF2042, BFV all run perfectly fine but the moment you exit the game... you get a BSOD with a KERNEL_APC_PENDING_DURING_EXIT message. This is a Critical Error!!
This issue for me and many other players started the minute you implemented your EA Anti-Cheat in these games ONLY!! NO OTHER GAMES I PLAY DOES IT
Please for the respect of your player base, acknowledge the issue and have it fixed.... Your Anti-Cheat is currently causing more harm than fixing things for us.
Confirm I'm another user getting kernel apc pending during exit, this only recently started happening to me, been playing BF2042 fine for weeks, only recent things I've done is updated my bios (Asus motherboard) and was given an EA Anti-cheat update, happens in BFV also. Need a fix ☹️
This is an absolute joke. how many months down the line and the "fix" from ea is delete your drivers? what are you actually on about?
FC24 is doing exactly the same thing, go to close it and blue screen each and every time. I dont want to play it any more as i im guessing blue screens are not good for your pc.
Please get it over to your devs and get it fixed asap

So i uninstalled Armoury crate and Aura. Whilst I don't have control over lighting for now I'd like to say thank you, I fixed the BSOD crash by following what user said use ServiWin and disable drivers - SysWow64\drivers\AsIO.sys SysWow64\drivers\AsUpIO.sys C:\Windows\system32\drivers\AsIO2.sys C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\AsIO3.sys
Now I can play Season 7 on BF2042 that I purchased last week, but haven't been able to play much @EA
i have a BSOD while opening battlefield 2042 since 1 week. everything was fine since i started playing in december 2023 . i played a little of season 7 and then boom. i tried everything to fix it and reinstalled windows and still not working.
Please read this Thread, there are so many users here wo have had a BSOD, caused by asus drivers since october and the release of Season 6.
Last week's EA anti cheat update did not fix the problem experienced by users who have installed software such as amoury crate from asus.
I'm from Germany, but the forum there can't help us either.
There is a workaround by deactivating the asus drivers, but for some users this is not an option because it means their hardware will no longer work properly.
Can you please tell us that the developers are aware of the problem, there has been no information about it for 7 months

I have tried uninstalling armoury crate and verifying the game files and all that but it does not work.
I am still getting the BSOD: "KERNEL_APC_PENDING_DURING_EXIT" when exiting the game (launch works fine as does playing, it is just upon exiting).
I am playing Battlefield 5. I understand that the support for that game has ended and that the chance of an update is very small.
But there is something about adding this anti cheat that makes some people unable to play a game they've already purchased and making it not function anymore.
Don't get me wrong, I would much rather want that you keep the anti cheat and don't do any update rather than removing the anti cheat and having it as before. The anti cheat is very needed and most players are able to play with it.
With that said though, I would really appreciate an update for BF5 aswell.
I'm not demanding it, I'm just doing a hopeful wish. I love the game, it's my favourite Battlefield game and at the top of my favourite list among all the games I own.
@EA_Leeuw you are just rude people have been struggling with this problem for 7 months and all you have done during this time is advise people to remove the ASUS Armory Crate program. In addition, on the German forum you post this nonsense: "But if I understand correctly, do you all use Asus Armory Crate? In fact, it is a program that is blocked because it can be used to manipulate the game." How is it that you can play normally with ASUS Armory Crate turned on and the blue screen only appears when exiting the game, so where is your protection against tampering with the game?
@PiromanXD anyone know when they going to fix this anti cheat people can't play !!!!!! my PC restarts after quitting game and also every time i join they is allways someone cheat can't deal with this anymore!!!!!!
@Madara_skullUnfortunately, I doubt they will do anything because only a small percentage of players struggle with this problem. I am very curious whether if this problem affected most players, would they also be told to wait for any contact for 7 months and the only thing they did after that time was to convince the players that it was their fault because they use the ASUS Armory Crate program, which most of them need? to control cooling in your PC. Instead of just admitting that they messed up by releasing updates to their ridiculous EA Anti Cheat. As a long-time fan of the BF series, I bought the game before its premiere in the elite edition and this is how they repay their customers. The only thing I regret the most is that I can no longer return it, but I am sure of one thing that I will never invest my money in any product of this company again.

@HuxleyOi69 still if you dont know why it happening just say so and say that the correct team is looking into the matter and will have a timely fix NOT 7 PLUS MONTHS LATER..there no excause for a company that employs 1000 of empolyees to not have this in a timely fix again look at helldrivers took them 2 days to turn away to fix something that was super unpopluar...a small studio making AAA studios look like trash. they are making EA, xbox studios, Ubisoft, all of them making them look out of touch with reality of what real gamers want. i mean look at palworld to...no live service and they sold millions
