Bug Report - Iwo Jima Map Stutter Issue
Platform: PC
System Specs:
GPU: RTX 5090
CPU: Intel i9-14900K
RAM: 64GB DDR5
Storage: 4TB Gen4 NVMe SSD
PSU: 1200W Platinum
Resolutions Tested: 1440p, 1440p Ultrawide, 4K
Description:
On the new Iwo Jima map, there is a recurring issue that causes a noticeable frametime spike or stutter once or twice per match. This happens specifically when zooming into a scope (sniper scope, Javelin, AT gun, or AA gun).
The issue appears tied to the environmental transition on the map when moving or aiming near the boundary between the normal terrain and the ash or burned-out section. This issue does not occur on any other map. Since the Iwo Jima update dropped, I have played roughly 70 hours, and this stutter has only ever appeared on Iwo Jima.
Steps to Reproduce:
Load into the Iwo Jima map.
Play normally until reaching the areas transitioning from normal terrain to the burned/ash section.
Zoom in with a scoped weapon, Javelin, or stationary AT/AA gun.
Observe the stutter or frametime spike.
Expected Behavior:
Smooth zooming and weapon usage without sudden frametime spikes or stutters.
Actual Behavior:
Brief but noticeable stutter that interrupts gameplay immersion and can affect combat outcome.
Frequency:
Approximately 1–2 times per match.
Impact:
While performance remains smooth otherwise, the intermittent stutters disrupt the gameplay experience on this map specifically, making engagements unreliable.
Request:
Please investigate and address this bug in a future patch, as it appears isolated to the Iwo Jima map and significantly impacts playability.
