Can not play any EA Play launched games!!!!

I load into any game that launches with EA Play (Battlefield 1, 2042, 6 beta). I get disconnected less than 5 minutes into every match. The error always says disconnected from EA Servers.

BF2042 Error Code: 1:4688822970:-4685921B

This is extremely frustrating because i want to be able to play BF6!!! I am actively trying to give you money EA!! HELP!!

  • Is there a way to actually submit a ticket to ea for help with an ea employee?

  • I tried all listed solutions, including turning off EA Overlay and turning on Nvidia Overlay and still did not work.

This might be a far fetch but I do remember how I managed to fix my problem. I had the same error code and did all of the steps and it did not work. The only thing that miraculously fixed it is either disabling EA Play overlay and if that fixes it do nothing. If it doesn't then enable Nvidia Overlay. I know it sounds a bit crazy but I am almost 100% sure that's how I got it fixed. But do try disabling EA overlay only first and then playing.  If none of these fix it here is my last ditch attempt quoted from another thread that goes through every possible thing you can try to fix the problem.

Hmm, I will list everything I've done that may have contributed to the fix in my case.

The things I have underlined are the fixes I listed in the previous post I made.

    • Updating EA Anticheat
    • Repairing EA Anticheat (same way as updating, just clicking repair in the EA Anticheat installer software)
    • Allowing battlefield into the firewall (both private and public)
    • Allowing all EA related applications into the firewall (both private and public)
    • Allowing EA Anticheat and EA Javelin Anticheat into the firewall (both private and public)
    • Adding Windows Defender exclusions to the Battlefield game folder and EA desktop folder
      1. In Windows Security > Virus & threat protection > Virus & threat protection settings Exclusions > Add an exclusion > Folder
      2. Add C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop
      3. Add C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Battlefield 2042
    • Command prompt network commands
      1. Press the Windows key and enter "cmd" and run as administrator
      2. Paste the following and press Enter
        • ipconfig /flushdns
        • ipconfig /registerdns
        • ipconfig /release
        • ipconfig /renew
        •  netsh winsock reset
      3. restart pc
    • Give both anticheat services admin permissions through properties
    • Setting dns client from disabled to automatic

I am not sure which of these are necessary, but I listed all of them anyway.

  • Yes things I have tried so far:

    1. Delete EA Play and all related files
    2. Delete any EA related files in the registry editor
    3. Repair anti-cheat
    4. Hardset DNS in network settings
    5. Set DNS to 3 in registry editor

None of these have worked. I still get kicked within 5 minutes of a match.

So you deleted the EA all and all related files, deleted/repaired the anti cheat and tried the DNS fix as well? If you haven't done the DNS solution that will most likely be the reason for the error code since when I do a search with that code several cases pop up and all seem to be resolved on ready or another.

  • Hi all, i did both solutions asked and still did not resolve, even did custom searches for any EA related files and Anti-Cheat files and still did not resolve the issue. What else can i try?

Had the same problem and resolved it by deleting the EA app and all leftover files and caches. Make sure you repair your anti cheat as well. If that doesn't work check this thread out about Windows's DNS cache. It seems that some people managed to fix their problem by following the steps provided by the community in the comments. The solution is towards the end of the replies I think.
