@Cak3mor3, that is a very good question indeed!

I am mentioning the ISP because another player in another thread had a similar issue; every other Battlefield game worked fine, except Battlefield 2042. Switching to a different network allowed this specific player to correctly connect to the servers again and play the game as normal.

It could be that due to the more advanced configs of the game (cross-play for example, I don't know) that it used different ports then other Battlefield games, maybe ports that are blocked by the ISP (or your home network for example).
  • same here - playing with PC.

Since them *snip* could not finalise the game, they propably took the power outlet out of the socket and put it to coffee maker  😉

Last time i tried to play, there was three major bugs in the row. I could play one match with horrible performance, then could not join next match due to bug.

CM edit: please watch your language and keep the thread on-topic. Thank you, EA_Leeuw.

  • It seems the servers for me are now working. I did nothing more on my end. My network was fine. It does suck that I missed out on almost 3 weeks of experience.

    Hey @daylynmiller,

There were 0 reports of server issues and nothing changed on our end in the meantime, especially not during the Holidays etc. So in this case I would assume that the issues were indeed caused by potential issues within your home network or ISP, that have resolved itself eventually.
  • I doubt most issues are home network, congestion at a route location seems viable but at the same time people in similar locations can have mixed results.

I think in bf1 towards the end of its life before they switched to amazon servers i showed them something resembling a caching issue with logins.

Which this very well could be again, eg people are logging in once early in the day and then server keeps them or their details alive so that it causes problem when trying to log in again.
