Hey @PBMS123,
The error that you're receiving is a generic 'unable to connect' error.
What you can also give a try is, if you have the possibility to do so, setting up a Mobile Hotspot (3g/4g connection) and connecting your PC to that hotspot to see if you can get past the network error.
I would also recommend trying to get in touch with your ISP to check if they might be aware of potential issues.
May I ask the region you're playing from?
I'm from Australia, I've never had an issue like this, I was able tod ownload the game, and even able to play the game while it was downloading.
I can play every other Battlefield title, my ISP doesn't block anything, and I use Google and Cloudflare DNS so I'm not using ISP DNS.

@PBMS123, while you mention that you were able to play the game while it was downloading; this is possible as the mode that you can play while the game is still downloading in the background, is the offline tutorial mode. This doesn't require connection to the servers.- 3 years ago
Got the same issue. I have reset everything, checked router settings, used both wired and WiFi, reinstalled it and done all the network tests on XboX series X.
I can get online by tethering to my mobile phone.
I have tried BF 4 and 5, and they work fine with my internet. I have spoken to my provider and nothing wrong. The only thing I've noticed is that it's on ipv 4 and not 6. XboX says it will do ipv6 through ipv 4 and my router has ipv6 enabled.
I am in the UK with fibre.
Really need to sort this out because I can't play £100,- worth of game!
