So recently when I tried to launch the game it boots to the main menu where it states connecting to online services but just stays there until eventually, it crashes back to dashboard with no error. I've tried all of the following:1. Hard reset2. Reset all modem/router settings3. Different connections (currently wired but tried wireless and using other wireless internet)4. Factory reset bit kept games/apps5. Uninstalled/reinstalled full game6. Cleared saved game data7. Cleared persistent storage in settings8. Tried unlinking/linking ea with xbox accountI own the game digitally (bought the $99 version at launch)I pay for Xbox Game pass UltimateMy kids in same household on same isp connect just fine. I don't know what else to do.

@EA_Aljo Thanks for assisting. The problem was the xbox insider alpha build. Removed myself from the insider program and once I have the released version of the xbox os installed, BF worked straight away.

Thanks for reaching out. When you say your kids can connect, is that on a different Xbox or are you talking about their accounts on your console? Also, try clearing the alternate MAC address with these steps:

Go to your Xbox Settings

Go to "Network", then "Advanced Network Settings"

Click on "Alternate MAC Address", and then click "Clear"

Hi, thank you for replying. On another xbox series x. I tried using their account to log into mine and it does same thing. Going to give the tip you gave a shot and get back with you.

I have the same issue since update #5.0.1. Unfortunately the clear alternate mac address does not work.
Load up the game and it hangs on the Connecting to Online Services for about 30 seconds and then crashes to desktop.
Any other suggestions?

Try deleting the personal saved data for BF 2042. To do that, please follow these steps. There is the risk of losing offline saves and changes to settings you've made. Normally, those download from the cloud, but I can't guarantee this.

Press the Guide button and then highlight the BF 2042 tile.

Hit the Menu button. It's the small one to the right of the Guide button with 3 horizontal lines on it.

Next, go to Manage game and add-ons > Saved data. Delete the file with your gamertag on it.

Let me know what happens.

@EA_Aljo sadly, that did not work. Tried deleting the files and clearing alternate Mac but the game still struggles to connect and then crashes to desktop.

I'd like you to power cycle your equipment with the following steps: unplug your modem/router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem/router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up. Let me know if that helps or not. Thanks!

I'm having the same problem can't connect to online services
Uninstalled and reinstalled
Cleared the Mac address
Restarted the router
Deleted the save data
Is there anything else I can try
