Can't play Retribution - Matchmaking Failed

Im on xbox one.  See photo for error. I played one game and then was unable to play another, can play breakthrough After console full reboot, the game tries to load then kicks me to main screen...

    Hi everyone, 

    Because the time-limited Retribution game mode is no longer available, we are closing this thread.

    The general Breakthrough matchmaking error is still being tracked via the other AHQ thread.

@Psubond I get that in various game modes, with the only option to choose a different play mode and try again later. It’s over a year in and this randomly keeps coming up. Why do we constantly have to keep coming up with fixes and work arounds for a AAA game??

I haven't checked the error code. But, I bet it's "invalid game state". This is the same issue that happens when you attempt to join a Portal server where a match just ended and its rotating maps. Kludgy design.
