Choppy,Black Screen & Validating:

Came back to this game after being burnt out from COD as ground war got a bit stale (You know its bad when you have to play COD to try and get a BF fix sigh any way:

I downloaded BF 2042 after almost a year away from the game and its almost what it should of been at launch but does need more tweaks. so pre S6 update it was running great playing on high settings with:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-9400F CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz
Ram 16.0 GB
Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 (I KNOW POVO SPEC PC GET GUD)

Updated the game yesterday evening spent all evening trying to get it to run to no avail just validating the files all the time any way managed to get it to run this evening after doing a fix on the EA launcher.

Great booted the game up got into a lobby now my frames were ok but it was still choppy thought it was my internet speed but my download was 150mps and my upload was 50mps and also other games like COD, No Man Sky & Hell Let Loose were working fine CPU max 80% With BF after the update 100%!!!

Set all settings to low still choppy and unplayable the next thing issue i ran into it textures, items & vehicles not loading in so people just floating around!!! and I when i managed to even get to the end of the game id just get a black screen and have to reboot the game.

i have tried everything online this point clearing cache, repairing files, re validating, deleting re-downloading the whole game ECT ECT ECT. it just seems to me that the latest update has broken BF 2042 and from the looks on it we wont get a patch as people seem to be having performance issues on going since the games launch so im thinking ill have to give it another break for another few months and come back and hope they patch it!!!!!

I'm also getting a random black screen freeze between rounds. Had it like 4 times now. Only way out is to Alt+Tab and kill the process. It's like it just gets stuck on loading in a new map and stays on a black screen doing nothing.

I've waited for like 5 minutes but it just stays on the black screen but theres still sound playing in the background so it's not like a proper crash it just fails to load a new round.

Yeah. I also get this. It happens around 20% of the rounds. It also happens to all my friends who play BF2042. It's been getting A LOT worse since season 6, but has happened since the game was released in 2021.
