Computer Rebooting When Launching Battlefield 2042

    After many hours of pain staking troubleshooting it appears to be power related. (not enough power going into the system)

    A user who resolved their issue completely replaced their PSU for a new one, possibly due to age.

    Before doing this is suggest you look at three key things:

    1. Check that none of the cables are damaged, crushed, or folded in such a way that may cause damage.

    2. Check the connections or reconnect the cables into your system aswell as your PSU for modular PSUs

    3. Check your IEC cable or power cable that goes from your PC to the wall is in good condition.

    (Remember to unplug from the wall before removing power connectors)

Summarize your bug Randomly the PC make a rebbot, everything goes black and the pc restarts. Happens ingame, in the menus, in the endscreen and while idling.
How often does the bug occur? Every time - between 5 minutes and 2 hours so far(100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? don't know, feel free to come over 😉
What happens when the bug occurs? PC reboots, no bluescreen or anything
What should be happening instead? It should not reboot my pc but running

So far i have updated the gpu drivers, the bios.
I made temperaturechecks and everything was alright
there's more than enought power to run all this

i've testet all the display setting, low resolution, fps cap, fiullscreen, windowd and so on
ive run the System File Checker and it fixed a few files - no help

i reinstalled the game, i reinstalled on a different ssd
i've unplugged all usb-devices that i dont need to play the game
i've run bf and origin as administrator

i've enabled direcx12 in the config
i've disabled the shadows in the config

non of this helped a bit so far - pls tell me what to do, this is dissapointing to the max =)

‌everytime i think "yay, finally fixed - the game reboots the pc again and again"
i have almost 12h ingame and was able to finish like 5 games so far

add: downgraded my nvidia driver to the build from the beta - 496.13 - with a very fresh install.
pc just rebooted after ~40 min of playing

didnt fix my problem

It may be worthwhile checking that your PC power supply is at or above the minimum power requirements of your GPU.

This is more likely to be an issue if you upgraded your GPU at some point.

    @EA_Barrythx for the reply,
    i have a 750w power supply, and i havn't changed my gpu since i've bought the pc
    i've monitored the power usage of my gpu and cpu and i was not even close to the maximum.
    also the game is rebooting the pc even idling in the menus, when nothing is going on.
    like i've said, yesterplay i've played 3 rounds w/o any problem. but after the third game it rebooted while in the menus
    while playing the gpu is at ~2% usage

    there's no error or anything in the DxDiag? ☹️

    add: just to make sure, i've just orderen a new 850w supply, that will arrive tomorrow.
    i'll let you know if it changed anything

    add: and like i've said, i dont had these problems withing the beta at all.
    so something must have been changed, that's causing these troubles : /

    @EA_Barryi've installed a third PSU today - Corsair RM850x - and it's working. it seems the 2 PSU's i've tryed before were not healthy anymore, bevore i have a used RM850x and the original CX750.
    this new 850 was brand new
    no crash since more than 2 hours.
    befor i never made it past 40 minutes.

    i've posted the same in another thread. this is just for the ppl who have a look in here with the same problem! =)
