Consistent stutter on 4gb R9 Fury Nitro in-game at 1080p - all settings low

Product: Battlefield 2042
Platform:PC
Please specify your platform model. PC
AMD or Nvidia Model Number R9 Fury Nitro 4gb
Enter RAM memory size in GB 32GB
Are you using any software with an overlay? no
If yes, can you list them here? no
If you disable this software, does that have any effect? n/a
Which part of the game is the issue happening in? Multiplayer
Which part of the mode? Conquest
Please select your region North America
On which server did this happen? all of them
When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) all the time
Summarize your bug: massive stutter on most maps after a undefined period of time that appears to be related to maxed out VRAM - some maps will allow me to play the whole game without any stutter, others will only stutter in certain environments, and some are guaranteed stutter until I drop resolution to 1600x900 from 1080p. The new maps are overwhelmingly more stuttery than the old maps.
How often does the bug occur? Every time over a long enough play session (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? run the game at 1080p on a GPU with 4gb vram for multiple matches
What happens when the bug occurs? the game stutters, sometimes stalling the whole game
What should be happening instead? there should not be stutter

The game is installed to an NVME SSD and my system is fully stable with all other games, including cyberpunk 2077. All in game settings are set to low.

Network Bar? I'm familiar with the fps performance graph but what's the network bar and how do I enable it?

Linked is a picture of the network graph, along with an image of the drawscreeninfo command with the conditions that cause severe stutter (overwhelmed VRAM)

  • @uhnoman   Hey man i did check youre dxdiag you posted.
I see some issues that make the game a bit harder to run at youre system !!!
    Youre videocard is only 4gb
Youre CPU is out of date and only six cores (12 threads)
Youre memory is DDR3 and running at low Hz.

And i see mutiple blue screen errors in youre dxdiag !
Some thing with youre software and/or hardware configuration arent correct or powerfull enough.
Ya run a screen / resolution at *144Hz , lower it to 60 / 59.9 Hz and try again.
Make sure all resources in the background are disabled and do not run !

Also check / fix those BSOD issues, maybe a fresh/clean install will help ya.
You could try to OC (at own risk) youre CPU and Memory , make sure there is enough airflow/cooling for youre hardware so system wont burn down !

    Cheers

    *120hz i see at screenshot

My CPU is a 6 core Ivy Bridge Xeon overclocked to be as fast as a ryzen 5 2600, it's not an issue.
The ram runs in quad channel and has as much bandwidth as DDR4, if you were familiar with server platforms you would have known this already.
No kidding my GPU is 4gb, that's the TITLE of this thread! It's also within spec for this game!
I'm familiar with the logged issues, I've been overclocking my gpu and having crashes if I push it too far.
Literally nothing you posted was at all useful to me as a seasoned PC enthusiast of 24 years.

@uhnoman The last 2 pictures ya posted do not show all value, for examplke TN value is blank !!!
Youre dd3 system need to do some job to run bf2042 (even if its is a "server" board).
I did run at a Asus maximus V Extreme LGA1155 (ddr3) (few months ago), and those systems just need to do some job to run BF2042 , running at cpu !

To check what causes those stutters, post a full up to date screenshot with all values displayed , when network bar/graphs is enabled in game (multiplayer 128)
Also make sure ya dont run to much apps in the background , youre cpu need to do a lot if bf2042 is running !

Try a cleanboot and post results:
    Cleanboot / Msconfig

reboot pc by a clean boot:
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows-da2f9573-6eec-00ad-2f8a-a97a1807f3dd
Hide all Microsoft services, DISABLE (uncheck) ALL other processes, apps and services !

Cleanboot is just a one time clean boot ! Next reboot all will be reset and a normal boot will be occure.
Use msconfig to disable apps permanent each for new reboot.
    - In the search box on the taskbar, type msconfig and select System Configuration from the results.
    - On the Services tab of System Configuration, select Hide all Microsoft services, and then select Disable all.
    - On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select Open Task Manager.
    - Under Startup in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then select Disable.
    - Close Task Manager.
    - On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select OK. When you restart the computer, it's in a clean boot environment.

Cheers , keep us informed !
