Im having the same problem as well. I went and tried the ps5 controller on MW2 and it works just fine, so I'm not sure what the problem is. Gamepad tester is reading all the correct inputs as well.
I am using steam to recognize my controller, but like I said, it works fine with MW2.
The problem seems to be on either the EA app for BF. I tried BF1 quickly and it seemed it had the same problem as well.
