EAAPP updated and now get the error message "Couldn't connect to servers, a quick restart should fix it". But a restart does nothing same message returns.
Cleared the BF2042 Cache folder and same issue after. Anybody have a fix?
Played several hours last night with no issues, but I woke up this morning unable to connect to Online Services. Rebooted PC, Repaired BF2042 but no fix. Getting error:
"Unable to load persistence data. Game will return to start menu. Please check internet connection, make sure Platform client is online and try again."
Error code: 15: 136006S: 136003S: 136001S: 136002S:-7A
I am connected to this forum on the same machine I'm trying to play on, so definitely connected to the Internet. I am East Coast USA, if that matters. If I click "OK" on the error message it just keeps trying to connect, but gives me the same message after a few minutes.

East Coast US as well here, but I have to VPN to a Central US region before loading up the EA App to get around the Persistence Data error. Literally the only way I can play until Easy Anticheat decides to flag me for having a VPN installed again....
Just left my game running in this loop for like 30 minutes and it finally connected?
Mine wasn't 30 min but if I left it running it finally connected. It now connects properly so no idea what the issue was.
Worked fine all day today, and now it's back... Can't connect to Online Services.
I played some just yesterday and today I am having this issue. Game sometimes crashes silently when starting up (no error, just back to desktop/EA App).
When it does start it just sits there "connecting to online servers" and eventually displays an error message.
Playing on PC, Ryzen 3950, 64MB RAM, RTX3090, Gigabit internet with low ping and jitter. Tried "repairing" the game. Still broken.
It's annoying enough as it is, but even more so when I go in and read some of the communication in the forums. These issues happen regularly enough to a lot of people. It seems they happen more frequently after any kind of update. And the responses always want you to try to debug your internet connection even though it's ALWAYS, and ONLY THIS GAME suddenly having these issues.
As a matter of fact,just before posting here I tried to launch BF4 and join a server, all from the EA App. Worked perfectly!
Yeah I finally got in last night, but today it's back to being broken...
