Couldnt resolve host name - PS4

@EA_Aljo Hi, I’ve got the same issue, sorted the DNS and reset my router and checked everything I could find online and I'm still getting a plain white screen with the error “couldn’t resolve host name” in the top right. Any ideas? In the UK if that makes a difference and on PS4

Edited title to better reflect the content. -CM

I moved your thread to the 2042 forums. In the future, make sure you're posting in the forums for the game you're having the issue with. Thanks 🙂

We'll continue with troubleshooting. First, try rebuilding your database with the instructions here. Also, restore your licenses with these steps. Let me know what happens.

    Hi there, @Lord_Arrafel

Is this happening with all your EA games or just NHL? Also, I'd like you to power cycle your equipment with the following steps: unplug your modem/router and console. After 2 minutes, plug in the modem/router and let it come back online. Then, plug in your console and start it up. Let me know if that helps or not. Thanks!

Hi it’s actually Battlefront 2042 that I’m having the problem with. I’ve power cycled as requested and still have the same issues.

  • @EA_Aljo Hey while you're here do wanna check out that huge ever growing 20 page thread with an issue that hasn't been fixed since launch and makes the game unplayable? Would be real nice doesn't seem like anyone is getting around to it

  • Hi, @EA_Aljo

Restored licenses and rebuilt database as requested but still having the same issue. Press X to start, then go to a white screen that then shows Error:0x00000006 Couldn’t resolve host name.

Next steps? The game is currently unplayable as I can’t get past this screen

Thanks for trying. As a test, can you try switching your connection to a mobile hotspot? I'd just like to see if a different connection will work. That will help narrow this down.

Hi, I loaded up with a 5G connection and was able to play. I loaded again with a Wi-Fi and a LAN connection after competing the practice lobby and I’ve been able to play. Issue resolved I think!
