Hi Hazewald NapoleonBlownApt
Thanks for your DxDiag.
Before I give you a solution that I already know, could you try playing in 1080p and let me know if you still encounter the same problem ?
Let me know 😃

Relaunched on 1440p and <1 min crash w/ same event code. The latest crashes are happening very fast; previously I had Bitdefender toggled off for both Antivirus and Advanced Threat Defense and, if only coincidentally, I was getting longer game sessions before crash. Going to toggle off Bitdefender again and see if games last longer than 2-3 minutes.

Thank you NapoleonBlownApt
Can you try the steps in this tutorial : 'Failed to Launch Game: An Error on Our End' for Multiple Games. Any Fixes? | EA Forums - 12494514 one by one and let me know if it works ?
Because this error is very random and can be caused by many different things.
Let me know 😀- NapoleonBlownApt16 hours agoRising Rookie
Success so far - but confusing. I had previously deleted all EA AntiCheat files in both the Program Files folder and also in the drive where the game is stored, then “repaired” BF2042 which replaced these files. That did not work. I have also previously run the javelin installer.exe and pointed it to the game folder and used “repaired”, and that did not work.
However following your tutorial in order I used the javelin Installer.exe again to repair the designated folder and successfully played the game for ~90 minutes without a crash. Will it hold?
fwiw I also turned off the Nvidia overlay accessed by Alt-Z / R. I usually have that running. Is it possible the overlay was causing a conflict? I should experiment.
