have played BF for the last 10+ years on a playstation and for the last 3 years on both PS and PC. Used a PS5 controller for PC until this last update. So EA, are you asserting that even though I could just plug in an X-box controller and get full native support, somehow using a pS5 controller is a cheat? Sounds like complete BS to me. EA can say goodbye to my money and in my freetime am more than happy to learn about and participate in any class action potentials. Hello COD. Always thought it was the inferior product, rather cartoonish, but who cares? not so sure now. EA is going to have to learn the hard way I guess. Not paying a dime more for this kind of arbitrary BS. Wish SONY would take notice and take action. I'm out though. Deleting my account and buying COD for both my PC and Sony PS. I am not a gamer, I am a 55 year old physician who likes to defuse and play for fun. Don't have time for nor the tolerance for this kind of of territorial microsoft influenced pissing match BS. Think about that EA. Know your market and respect the the fact that it is not necessarily beholden to you.
Additionally, a previous Windows update in 2022 also added additional DualSense driver support, so you shouldn't need software like DS4Windows to use the controllers in our title.
Users on Steam should also be able to do this easily with the SteamInput options enabled.

Hello, since the anti-cheat update the DS4Windows program no longer works for me either. However, I can confirm this for Battlefield 1 only. I have already tested it without DS4Windows. It doesn't work and I followed all possible instructions. I have been playing Battlefield 1 with the Playstation 4 controller for 6 years and with the Playstation 5 DualSense controller since last year. If we should play the game with a Playstation controller in the future without the DS4Windows program, then I beg, also on behalf of the community, the developers to implement Playstation 4 + DualSense controller support in Battlefield 1 in addition to a Xbox controller support. As a next update. That would be really great and kind. ^^

How did you get the ds5 controller to work? I have tried everything from cable, Bluetooth, running ea launcher as administrator, also with steam to use the steam controller input. But that just bricks the controller in game.
the best I could do is launching the game from ea launcher without doing something special. But that results in mix input and an bricked d-pad. After remapping the remaining buttons and loading into a game it would still not work properly and just constantly look down to the ground. Running the latest controller firmware from PlayStation Accessories software (A-0520).

I've tried literally everything to try and get the PS4 Controller to work. Using SteamInPut adding BF2042 as a non steam game and launching it doesn't work. Nor does adding the EA App as a non steam game. DS4 Windows is obviously blocked now. Like you can play this game on Console with a PS4 controller no issue. But on PC? Nope can't do that. How is it that EA is the singular launcher / company that makes it almost impossible to use a controller with a game on PC? What are these people smoking?
