I deleted my cache and settings folder. They are located in C:/user/username/documents/battlefield2042.
This fixed the issue for me. @Feguerez

@codyj3560 I've been having the same issue, reinstalled the game, reinstalled the GPU drivers, reinstalled DirectX, went throught all the fixes recomended and nothing worked.

I deleted my cache and settings folder. They are located in C:/user/username/documents/battlefield2042.

This fixed the issue for me. @Feguerez

this error came back for me this week and deleting the cache and settings folder fixed it thank god
