EA Play membership not being honoured

I have an EA Play membership, courtesy of XBox PC Game Pass. There are no problems with that service, I have played other games connected through that service with no issue. Battlefield 2042 however ...

    Resolved! Finally. 

    I had to be incredibly persistent. As soon as I said the words "make a formal complaint" boom! suddenly the issue is magically able to be fixed..? Very frustrating experience overall. But it's done now. I did a quick pass to redact as much personal data as I cared to find and included it all here in case anyone else has the same issue in future-- hopefully there's something useful to you in it.

Hi there,

  • Can you try running an App Recovery in the EA App
  • After that, sign out → close the app → restart the EA App → log back into your account and check if the game works.


After doing some research, I found that the issue is not on your side but most likely related to the service itself:
-> EA app Incorrectly States "Your Game Pass Has Expired"

I think you’ll need to wait for a response from an EA staff member.

    I appreciate your attempt to help, I know the issue is not on my end though.

    The transcript attached to my post shows one of EA's support staff outlining what he & I think the issue is. I believe it to be entirely separate from the issue you've linked, which affected many people all at once & was resolved. My issue appears to be specifically because of a Flag placed on my account in 2021.
